Waters must be warming had our first Basking shark of the year pay us a visit today among other fish Conger, Ling, Pollock and alike.
Mackerel still a bit sparse, so we had to fall back on some squid baits. We anchored offshore for some reef fishing and picked up a few nice Ling and larger Pollock just starting to show along with the usual Whiting and Pouting. Hopefully it can only get better from now on.
Another year another boat - those of you that have fished with Terry on the Raptor in the past may be intrigued to try out his latest aquisition. This stunning traditional Lochin 33 'Out The Blue'. She may not have the speed of the Raptor but she still pushes on at a fair lick and is capable of speeds up to 22 knots. As you can see from the photographs she has a very large open deck with plenty of room for landing those big Blues.
I am taking bookings as from the end of February.
