Had some great fishing again this week for the time of year!
Latest round of the Piscary Super League were 2 totally different days.On the Thursday we decided to go offshore, fishing wasn't as good as the day before when we had quite a few Spurs and Bullhuss but they did have 9 species including Spurs, Bullhuss,3 Bearded Rockling, Congers and Rays. Top 3 in the points were
    1st Matt Pitter 114
    2nd Luke Allen 108
    3rd Kim Bowden 98
The next day conditions weren't quite as good, so we stayed inshore which made for a much better match with an unbelievable 19 species, smashing all the records for March, we had Mackerel,Bream , Plaice,3 species of Ray, 2 Turbot and 5 Brill! Top 3 in the points
    1st Gary Young 222
    2nd Darren Phillips 199

18 Feb 2024 by Matt Rowe

Been out quite a bit lately. Traditionally we don't do inshore fishing in February and March due to the lack of fish, however things do seem to be changing as the trips we have done this week inshore although a bit tricky, have been mostly quite productive for the time of year. Three matches, first it was the Friday Species League 17 anglers on 2 boats 10 species between them, top 3 on each boat
    Piscary
    1st Colin Searles 129
    2nd Richard Ferre 125
    3rd Dave Hawkes 113
    Ocean Runner
    1st Darren Phillips 138
    2nd Steve L 131
    3rd Darren W 105
    Total Boat points
1st Ocean Runner best 8 out of 9
    843
    2nd Piscary 796
Next it was the Kings arms Southampton they had a slightly better day with 10 species on the boat 1st on the day was Richard Dicky Day 145
    2nd Ed Taylor 130
3rd Chris Super Rod Rogers 121
Lastly we had the first ever round of the Piscary Sunday league, very rough conditions in the morning which played unexpected in there favour fishing very close in they had 11 species on the boat including Bream, Plaice,Rays, The first Mackerel of the year plus multiple Turbot and Brill.
1st in the points Andy Pedon 123
    2nd Damen Court 110
3rd Paul Gelman, George Fox 106
5th Jay Hemming, Paul Hollyoake 104.
Please note that in the interest of conservation and the future of angling apart from a few tiddlers that were kept for bait all the fish were returned! There are spaces coming up for individuals for this type of fishing on Sunday the 25th . Any enquiries please send a text or watts app message thanks Mat 07775756269

Got out this week for the February round of the Piscary Super League.Once again it was 2 very different days.On Thursday we had 8 species on the boat. Absolutely stunning weather but a biggish tide so we spent the morning inshore where we had an unbelievable amount of Whiting with the odd Dog and Blonde Ray.As soon as it was possible with the tide we headed off to a new mark offshore which I've been wanting to try and although it was a bit snaggy the Congers Spurdogs,Tope and Bullhuss were queuing up to be caught
1st in the day was Ray Barron with 196 points
    2nd Steve Harder 143
    3rd Matt Pitter 129
Unfortunately on the Friday the condition were not so favourable so we stayed inshore less fish but more species 10 in total once again lots and lots of Whiting 3 species of Ray, Tub Gurnard,Conger,Turbot and Brill!
1st on the day was Richard Dicky Day with 103 points
    2nd Gary Young 89
    2nd Mike Fox 89
    4th Paul Hollyoake 86
Looking at the current forcast I'm not planning on doing any trips in the next fortnight if anything changes I'll post on here.
