My first day this year on the turbot with Colin. As always you know that from the moment you step aboard, Colin never stops working for his crew. His recent award of Skipper of the Month is justly deserved. Once again he managed fo find the fish and showed why he is one of the best skippers on the south west. Thanks Colin

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Trevor, I look forward to seeing you later this month for your annual 5 day angling break.

Many thanks to Colin and everyone on board Flamer 4 for making my 2 day 60th birthday bash such a great time. Whilst the fishing was hard on both days Colin worked hard to put us on fish and some very nice fish caught and in some cases lost. Colin was his usual supportive self to those who lost decent fish, especially to John B who after about 20 mins lost his battle with what we think was a big blonde playing in the tide

Skippers Reponse: Thanks for the Thanks Russell, can't wait for your 61st birthday bash. I am now taking bookings for 2018.

My first trip Bank and Reef trip with Colin on Flamer IV, what a day it turned out to be. Colin anchored past Portland Bill. With only two anglers on-board, Ian Slater had the run of the deck (Ian was a first rate companion - I learnt a lot). After Skipper Colin caught a couple of Blonde rays and doggies, it was Ian's turn next to pull the Blondes. After 2 hours of anxious watching/waiting I decided to join the catching club (after a bit of gentle ribbing by the skipper). First a doggie (at least on the scoreboard) followed by 4 Blondes - 4/12/13 and 24 pounds: 1 x 5lb Small eyed ray. We stayed the whole day at this anchorage and fishing the compass all the way round as the tide turned. As the tide peaked and ebb started, Tope moved in with my best at a modesty 6lb but it was my very first of the species as were the Blondes. Overall the trip was my best ever on a charter boat. Colin is a superb skipper, the boat immaculate and well fitted out with state of the art safety/navigation and fish finding electronics. The coffee was coming on a regular basis. Thank you Colin and Flamer IV for a fantastic trip from Weymouth = Regards Colin Johnson Northampton

Our usual 5day angling break which we have done with Colin for some time now. For those that are able, this is a trip to be recommended. It offers the opportunity to fish for a number of different species and, if the weather turns ,the flexibility for last minute changes if necessary. We were lucky and able to stick with the plan. As ever, Colin never stopped working to put us on fish. The real advatage of these trips is the 5minute walk to the hotel rather than the long trek home. The social side is exellent and we all know how much Colin likes his chinese meals. A great week with a really great skippert

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Trevor, I am looking forward to seeing you all next year for your annual 5 day Angling Break on Flamer IV

An excellent Charter Boat that is well run and with a great Skipper. A excellent day out with a great group of helpful fishermen aboard and plenty of hot drinks and cake being served. Plenty of fish caught and returned, we will be returning again. Tony & Mike Bevan.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Tony, I look forward to seeing you on Flamer IV again soon.

Excellent day out with Colin on Flamer IV, in fact is was the same trip the Graham Broach had his 15lb 13oz Trurbot. I managed several turbot and a couple of Brill all of which were released except one, A Turbot of 13lbs 4 ozs which came home with me for the table. Always great fun on the Flamer IV with Colin, loads of leg pulling with laughter. Colin serves up Tea, Coffee, Soup and Oxo regularly during the day and often has a slice of cake for his anglers as a special treat. Lokking forward to my next day out with Colin Penny on the Flamer IV.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Dave I look forward to seeing you on Flamer IV soon with some special cake for you!
