    Report on-board Mistress

    What a glorious day to be at sea! with a lift in the tides today, we were going to be working the rough ground and dropping onto the wrecks around slack water when the drift slowed down.
    I ventured out to some ground 10 miles away from whitby today as i left it the day preiously with plenty of feed marks showing on the sounder. on arrival we found the feed had dispersed with only small patches showing. we managed a a few cod and a solitary haddock before moving. i worked my way round to the back end of some ground around 8 miles from whitby, we hit jackpot here, we had loads of cod mostly in the 4-6lb bracket, a few a bit bigger, the biggest fell to Mick Patterson which was a beauty weighing in at 13 1/2 lb, taking 2nd in the daily winners spot in the festival bagging him £30! Well done Mick!
