    Report on-board Brighton Lure Boat

First up, and new to Brighton Lure Boat, John and Malcolm, the latter of the two very experienced in all aspects, not to say that John hadn’t ever fished, the last time was he was out, on a charter boat from Newhaven back in the early 90s, as with all Brighton Lure Boat clients tuition and help was at hand thru out the trip, and John was a great listener, and this helped him no end.

We headed out and with a very large tide ahead of us the sea was tadge lumpy with NE breeze, over cast and not very warm and clarity was looking good.
Our first stop west of the Brighton Marina, and the mackerel and cuttle were biting hard, but Silvers was what we were after, First in was Malcolm with not big fish but we were up and running, and conscious of the tide running hard in the next hour, the decision to move out to a wreck paid dividends.

We arrived on the wreck, not much baitfish around, But with a few shows, we gave it a go Malcolm was first in again with another Silver, followed by yours truly. John in the meantime was soldering on, He sadly lost a couple of Bass, but he mentioned I have a fish on, which stayed deep all the way up, in my mind was it a big bass, nope totally shocked a Turbot, we didn’t measure or weigh the fish, John wasn’t bothered if he didn’t catch another fish he was well made up, well that didn’t happen, as Malcolm cracked into another Bass, we had a mad hour an half, 6 bass netted and landed mackerel and a turbot!
The tide by now had started to gather, With Brighton Lure Boat‘s speed, we are able to move to marks quickly in any type of sea. Our last hour was very productive, another 4 silvers netted and boated, and John had 3lb plus wrasse, sadly no photo as the fish had damaged mouth we had to get it back in the water fast, plus Malcolm had his 4th bass of the day and netting and attending the fish multi-tasking at its best, Johns first time out in years he end up with 3 species, and said he can’t wait to come back, Macolm with his 4 bass and mackerel the morning was complete, Brighton Lure Boat score count 10 bass, 1 wrasse and the cracker of a turbot!
