    Report on-board Silver Halo

    So despite some pretty challenging conditions April was a good month onboard Silver Halo.
    I managed 11 wrecking trips and with only small groups of between 2 and 4 anglers per trip, catches were reliable and numbers good. Best pollock went just over 16lb and most anglers had 15 to 20 fish a piece come the end of the day. A few cod were also caught but I'm expecting better numbers for May and also the bass will soon make apperance on wrecks in our area.
    Most anglers have used lures (greens and whites being best) but there have been occasions where jigs have been used. The lighter winds and more settled months to come will see an increase in the use of jigs.
