Report on-board Privateer
My first week of the season completed and the weather has been kind. Privateer took anglers out on 4 trips, which included a 10 hour night Tope trip, a Rhyl species league competition and a 5 hour inshore trip. All the trips were successful and notable catches were, a few big double figure weight, Bull Huss, lots of early Mackerel, Lots of feisty Smooth hounds, the first Tope of the season weighing 32lb, all 3 Gurnard types being caught and in total, 17 species shared between the anglers.
Mackerel, Herring, Scad, Whiting, Poor cod, Pouting, Pollack, lesser Weaver, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Tub Gurnard, Thornback Ray, Smoothound, Bull Huss, Dogfish, Dab and Tope.
I’m away now for 10 days, fishing a major fishing competition, in Weymouth but when I get back, plan to get right into the Tope fishing plus some early start Inshore Bass trips. Fish hard boyo’s and enjoy.View Boats Page
