    Report on-board Brigand

After a challenging few months dealing with the new charter boat refit (more of that to come) and what has felt like endless coding, registration and other necessary administrative issues required to ensure we are fully compliant with the new Bass boat it felt like we were actually taking a break with an Offhsore wrecking trip today!
With a good forecast and a wonderful crew aboard we headed out for some offshore wrecking fun. I think first drift we were into fish and managed to get half a dozen perfectly conditioned Pollock abaord before loosing the tide. A quick flit up tide over slack to enable us to fish the flood for the second half of the day was pretty uneventful to start with but gathered pace as the tide kicked in. An assortment of Pollock, Whiting, Red Gurnard and I think just the one pouting quickly followed with most Pollock in the 4-8lb range and in fantastic condition.
It always great to see those that wish to take fish home for table do that and there was plenty for everyone aboard. Peter Stotesbury will always be right up there when it comes to just about any fishing discipline and bagged 4/5 very nice fish. No monsters today but as the weather improves and we can confidently travel further on our long distance trips those will come.
The new charter boat - well it's been quite a project and wil be a fantastic fishing machine! As well as the new engines, shafts, props, full rewire it's also had the latest electronics installed with Raymarine 3D system operating through the linked transducers, quantum radar and the latest night vision system....what a system that is! It also has fridge, freezer, convection cooker, blown heating, on-deck toilet and massive range with it's extra large tanks. It is another Blythe 10m Catamaran that will be working alongside our current www.brigandcharters.com boat doing everything from long distance, multi-day trips to the Southwest for Cod, Ling, Couches Bream etc to 1/2 day inshore trips closer to home in Brighton fishing for Bass with lures and live-baits at extremely competive rates starting at £40pp - we think that's the right price for inshore Bass fishing even with such a fantastically well equipped big Catamaran taking a max of 6 anglers...... worth considering if your a serious Bass angler, contact Karl Pope for bookings on 07768 721477.
We have a very busy season ahead with everything from Mackerel to Bluefin Tuna on offer so if your looking for quality fishing out of Brighton with professional crews, with a proven track record get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
All availability can viewed in our website calendar here www.brigandcharters.com and will be updated when the new boat arrives - exciting rimes here!
    Best wishes
