    Report on-board Brigand

    A few Codling today along with mostly small Pollock in the 3-5lb range and as many Mackerel as you could ever want....... nobody wanted them!
    Great to have my old buddy Nick Williams aboard today along with a wonderful group of guys - thank you all.
    Tomorrow; something a little different ��

    That was yesterday's post that wasn't posted..... bear with me on this!
    A scouting trip today with some of our very best folks and a very focused agenda.

    No.1 on the list was stocking up on those jumbo mackerel in the 40cm plus range. We do occasionally pick them up inshore but to be guaranteed catching fish of that quality you need to be heading out far...... it didn't disappoint and the smoker will be flat out from 0500 tomorrow for the whole day!

    No.2. Check out the Offhsore banks - we hit 5 today in a long session with varied results. Some nice Bass until we hit our quota along with Bream, Huss, Scad, jumbo Mackerel, Launce, Gurnard. A waste of time fishing lures for the Bass, live-baits sorted them out in clear water and some fanatastic sport.
