    Report on-board Skerry Belle

    Will now be turning our attention to the Autumn and Winter fishing, which can be pretty spectacular onboard. The bass fishing can be excellent this time of year as the larger fish move inshore to gorge on the whiting shoals that turn up before the long migrate south. If it's a double figure bass you want, November/December is definitely the time. (See photo.) We are noticing the cod fishing is picking up and have had many reports of them coming up from local beaches. So this could also be an exciting time. The wrecks on the Goodwins will start to see a good splattering of Conger, along with Thornbacks Rays and Spurdogs. There will also be plenty of good channel Whiting, Dabs, Smooth hounds, and Pouting to keep the rods rods tips moving. Remember we are a full time charter boat. We operate 24/7 and trips can even be booked the night before. We include everything you need, including tuition with a fully qualified deckhand and lunch is available.
