Report on-board Supreme
The weather was bright and lumpy in the morning with tide and wind working against us early on, but later in the day the conditions really improved. The mackerel are still failing to show but other baits worked well enough to make the 8 hour match an enjoyable and close run thing. Rip Van Winckle did not make it onto the boat. Mind you I wouldn't want to tangle with him – neither does anyone else.
Species taken on the day included Dogs, Dabs, Whiting, Tub Gurnard, Pouting. Sea Scorpion, Codling, Bull Huss, Por Cod and an Octopus!!
Gull attack excluded, all were retuned safely except the Octopus which was destined to make a guest appearance in a weekend paella.
Steve moved us when he had to and when things slowed down. He called the species that we would catch before he anchored up on the marks. Pity he can’t call 6 numbers for me on a Saturday night. Usual drinks and snacks were supplied by a skipper who really knows his stuff. I take my cap off to him – literally!!
Cheers for another brilliant day Steve.View Boats Page
