    Report on-board Size Matters

Finally with all the flood water gone and temperature starting to drop we are starting to see the cod fishing on the Mersey improving.
During the last 5 charters we had only one hard day the other days we caught up to 16 coding from 2lb to 8lb per day with most of them around the 5lb mark. We also caught thornback rays to 8lb 12oz, plenty of whiting to 2lb and dabs. A few small boat anglers have been doing well catching cod to 10lb with quite a few around the 8lb mark as well so they are there you just need to fish big baits for them. The way things are going this winter season, it looks like we are just starting to get the main cod run. So I have decided to put a few extra weekend dates
on, the tides are around 29ft to 30ft. This just means we will have to move around the Mersey more often to get out of the main run of tide. As always we just need mother nature on our side, no more heavy rain, no gales from the NW or SE and we should see some very good catches of cod throughout the coming months.
Here is a list of available dates in January,
    Saturday 16th 1 place,
    Sunday 17th 1 place,
    Monday 18th 1 place,
    Friday 22nd whole boat available,
    Saturday 23rd 3 places,
    Sunday 24th whole boat available,
    Sunday 31st 2 places available,

If you would like to book any of these dates just give me a call on 07999628511.

    Cheers
    Kev
