    What a warm one!

    Hot hot but lucky we had a good sea breeze to keep us cooler.

    Strong tides which made it a bit harder but we did have a few smoothhounds and Harry had two cracking bites inc one that spun the rod holder around!
    And he was bitten off clearly!

    We thinking a big tope as recently small tope have been getting caught inshore.
    So I put out a tope rig with a large bait but nothing caught on that.
    Thanks for everyone who came and rebooked for tope and bass trips.

    Headed out today with stronger than forecast Westly winds ����and straight into some cracking smooth hounds��
    Half way rod steamed off and it was a cracking bass��
    Probably had between 20 to 30 smoothhounds onboard. Mostly pregnant females all returned back unharmed.

    Cracking group of people onboard. ��

    Thanks again all for coming and nice to see regular faces onboard and travelling from a far.

    Sunday 30th March
    Had the lads out from The Tackle Den

    Wind was offshore but stronger than forecast said so had to stick inshore close to the cliffs etc.

    Was a hard day but Dave landed our first smoothhound for 2025.

    Loads of dog fish and whiting.
    Great gang of people.

    Was out Yesterday (Friday) had countless doggies and whitings with a few poutings.
    Nice to see some sun �� and calm seas. ��

    Today (Saturday) we had 2 x skate, loads of doggies and poutings. ��

    Lovely calm day with wall to wall sunshine also had a few porpoises came past which was a great sight. �� ☀️

    Had another good day inshore. Plenty of whiting and doggies with a surprise Smoothhound. Codling still very hit and miss at present due to water temperatures being still a bit too warm for them in numbers.

    Cracking day out today. Calm seas not a breath of wind and the sun was out.
    Cracking little codling goes to Oscar and nice to see skate still about. 100s of whiting which where a good size and most returned to swim for another day.
