With Winter nearly behind us, we will now turn our attention to much milder and better weather and the early Spring fish waking up. This is a great time to get out, as we can start to see some cracking bass, large thornback rays, early big female hounds, and still with a chance of codling, conger, and spurdogs on the wrecks. All baits to catch these fish will be supplied onboard including fresh peelers, prawn, spider crab, and velvets. Remember, we are a full time Charterboat and operate 24/7. Trips can even be booked the night before and equipment, baits and lunch are supplied, from as little as £60 pp.

With Autumn fast approaching we will now be turning our attention to the larger bass that move through the Goodwins on their migration south. These fish can be caught either on baits or lures, with fish nudging the 10lb bracket. Codling are starting to show. Curtis had a nice one yesterday (see photo) along with large channel whiting, thornback rays and spurdogs. Some decent bass shoaling up now on the Goodwin's mainly to crab and mackerel baits.some very big pupped up smoothounds showing some nudging well over 15lb, plenty thornbacks and mackerel showing in the deeper water,

Fishing is getting better every week now with blonde rays cod smoothhounds and bass all showing around the Goodwin sands, some nice bass onboard Skerry Belle charter boat Ramsgate and well over 50 hounds boated in one trip
