MAY 2016 - WRECKING TRIP
Some nice fish were caught on a recent Wrecking Trip including Pollack,Cod and Ling. A variety of lures were used while drifting over the Wrecks and the colors Pink,Orange,White and Silver proving to be the best on the day. Pictured is Keith Williams with a 14Ib 8oz Pollack.

Bill Walton and friends from Devon enjoyed two sessions fishing at anchor to the East of Weymouth along the Jurassic coast using light tackle. They caught Black Bream, Smooth Hounds and Thornback and Spotted Rays along with the usual Dogfish and Pouting. Pictured is Steve Matthews with a 7Ib Thornback Ray which was his first ever and he also caught his first ever Spotted Ray. Steve was using 6Ib class tackle with strips of mackerel and squid being the successful bait which was mounted on a Sakuma size 2/0 stinger hook on a flowing trace with colored beads on. We must not forget Bill Walton who caught the first Black Bream and species number 27 caught on Flamer IV this year and Bill also did a sterling job of catching plenty of Dogfish so the other guys could catch the Rays etc.

Bill Walton and friends from Devon enjoyed two sessions fishing at anchor to the East of Weymouth along the Jurassic coast using light tackle. Pictured is Nick Payne with a 7Ib 12oz Thornback Ray he caught on 6Ib class tackle with strips of mackerel and squid being the successful bait which was mounted on a Sakuma size 2/0 stinger hook on a flowing trace with colored beads on. We must not forget Bill Walton who caught the first Black Bream and species number 27 caught on Flamer IV this year and Bill also did a sterling job of catching plenty of Dogfish so the other guys could catch the Rays etc.

COD are Now being caught on Wrecking Trips, like the one pictured a 9Ib 8oz Cod caught by Phil Harrison, which was caught on a recent Wrecking Trip on a Red Gill Lure, Phil also landed several ling up to 17Ib on the same trip on mainly squid and mackerel baits.

COD are Now being caught on Wrecking Trips, like the one pictured a 10Ib 4oz Cod caught by Ian Nash, which was caught on a recent Wrecking Trip on a Red Gill Lure, Ian also landed an 11Ib 1oz Pollack and some Ling on the same trip.
The Ling are also now about and being caught on mainly squid and mackerel baits.

Stephan Attwood from Hampshire landed a 9Ib 5oz Turbot while drift fishing. The successful bait was Mackerel fillet presented on a flowing trace and size 4/0 Sakuma Stinger hook. Stephan is pictured with his Turbot.

Robin Chapman who is known as "Chippy" and a charter skipper from Cornwall joined Flamer IV with a few friends to come out on a Bank fishing trip in search of Undulate Rays and Turbot.Chippy and John both caught their first ever Undulate Rays and the group all caught Turbot. Pictured is John Hocking with an 18Ib Undulate Ray - Pretty good for a first one.
THE MAY BANK HOLIDAY - There are a few places left for this coming May Bank Holiday - April 30th - Wrecking Trip, May 1st - Reef/Bank Trip for Rays etc, May 2nd - Wrecking Trip. DON'T MISS OUT.
