The first trip of 2015 included the 2014 Flamer IV Fish of the Month winners competition and produced some excellent fishing.In all nine different species were caught which were Cod,Blonde Rays,Common and Starry Smooth Hounds, Conger,Whiting,Pout,Dogfish and a Turbot. Winner of the Competition was Andy Collings 136 points and Runner Up was Ian Youngs with 126 points.A Big thank you to Sakuma for sposoring the prizes. Pictured are Winner Andy Collings and Runner Up Ian Youngs. Pictured is Terry Hickman with the biggest Cod of the trip weighing 14Ib 8oz.

JANUARY 2015
The first trip of 2015 included the 2014 Flamer IV Fish of the Month winners competition and produced some excellent fishing.In all nine different species were caught which were Cod,Blonde Rays,Common and Starry Smooth Hounds, Conger,Whiting,Pout,Dogfish and a Turbot. December 2014 -
The last trip of 2014 produced some excellent Whiting fishing along with plenty of Conger eels,Thornback Ray and the usual Pouts,Poor Cod and Dogfish. Ian Youngs caught the best Whiting weighing 3Ib 3oz(pictured) and Wife Denise caught the second largest Whiting weighing 3Ib 1oz.Denise also chipped in with a 9Ib 8oz Thornback Ray.

DECEMBER 2014 -
during December the Reef/Bank fishing for Whiting,Cod,Rays,Congers,Bull Huss etc will be the main stay.Don't Miss Out. NOVEMBER 2014
Due to an indifferent weather forecast the planned wrecking trip was changed to a Reef/Bank trip and the anglers were not dissapointed as numerous Congers were caught along with Blonde and Undulate Rays,Tope,Whiting and the usual Pouts and Dogfish. Russell Salmon did particularly well catching lots of Congers and two Blonde Rays.Russell broke two Personal Bests with a 42Ib Conger and a 21Ib 8oz Blonde Ray.Russell was using a Sakuma 4/0 circle hook on a flowing trace with a white muppett and Squid and Mackerel cocktail bait. Paul Garrett from Swansea caught two new species and set Personal Bests with a 13Ib 8oz Undulate and a 20Ib Tope. Garry Braund from Bristol caught his Personal Best Blonde Ray which weighed in at 17Ib 8oz.All the fish were released alive. Russell Salmon is pictured with his PB 21Ib 8oz Blonde Ray.
The Reef/Bank fishing can be really good at this time of year,So Don't Miss Out.

Dave Metcalf and crew from Sussex enjoyed two days Reef/Bank fising despite some adverse weather conditions on the first day. They caught a variety of species which included Cod,Black Bream,Blonde and Thornback Rays,Tope,Congers,Smooth Hounds,Whiting,Gurnards,Mackerel and the usual Dogfish.Pictured is Paul Francis with his 20Ib Blonde Ray. The Reef/Bank fishing can be really good at this time of year,So Don't Miss Out.

OCTOBER 2014
My latest Wrecking trrip produced produed plenty of Pollack up to 11Ib and Bass up to 7Ib 4oz.The fish were mainly caught on Pink Red Gills presented on flying collar rigs or Portland rigs. Pictured is Mike Radford who caught his first ever Bass which weighed in at 7Ib 4oz.
The next wrecking trip for Pollack and Bass with places available is on the 21st of November .

The first F.I.S.H. (Flamer Invitation Species Hunt) took place with plenty of different species being caught over the two days and included Red Bandfish, Bream, Whiting, Rays, Wrasse, Pollack, Gurnards, Tope, Conger and many more.
RESULTS
Day 1 Winner - Andy Collings 243 points, 2nd place - Malcolm Ruff 166 points.
Day 2 Winner - Andy Collings 255 points, 2nd place - Mick Nunn 247 points.
F.I.S.H 2014 Champion - Andy Collings with a total of 498 points.
Best Lady award - Denise Youngs with a total of 322 points.
The prizes were sponsored by Sakuma/Red Gill - a Big thanks to them.
The Trophies and shield was sponsored by yours truly skipper of Flamer IV.
The competition will be run again next year on October 1st and 2nd 2015.

The anchored sessions on Banks/Reefs are producing good Ray and Tope fishing along with lots of Congers also the Whiting are starting to show.Ian Slater landed his first ever Blonde Ray weighing about 7Ib and then followed that up with a whopping 26Ib 8oz Blonde Ray and of course new Personal Best.Whole Clamari Squid and Mackerel cocktails presented on pennel rigs of Sakuma Stinger 6/0 and 4/0 hooks are proving the most successful.

The Reef and Bank fishing at anchor is producing some unexpected late Tope fishing with plenty of fish in the 10 to 30Ib bracket being caught and with some bigger fish being lost by biting through 100/150 Ib mono traces and some dodgey knot tying. Birthday boy Ray Seddon landed several Tope and is pictured with his biggest of the trip a 30 pounder. The successful baits being squid and mackerel either in cocktails or seperate.
