Festive fishing trips this year we are running a trip on boxing day for all of you who cannot face another day in the house book early to avoid disappointment some spaces already gone.

An abundance of fish out of Lowestoft on Lead Us 08-10-17
With big tides running we headed north to the shallower waters of Corton, expecting lots of weed and difficult fishing. We couldn't have been more wrong within seconds of the baits hitting the bottom the fish started coming which continued throughout the day with a constant stream of doggies and well over 100 good sized whiting 3 nice smoothounds to 5lb and 2 codling hopefully this is a sign of things to come as the weather gets colder -

A double shot for Mick on Lead Us
A weather window and slack tides saw us heading offshore to deeper water again. Within 5 minutes Bob was into the first hound of the day around the 5lb mark with plenty of spotties and whiting coming on board 10 minutes later i managed the first thornback and so it went on throughout the day just before slack water Mick had a lovely double shot consisting of a nice thornback and smoothound at the same time which took some pulling in. We ended the day with 6 thornbacks to 6lb 6 smoothounds to 6.5lb lots of spotties and whiting to go round. Mark as hard as he tried could not get past the whiting and spotties but did manage the record for the smallest spotties of the day. A great days fishing once again on Lead Us

A busy 4hrs and the first Cod of the season
Headed off to catch the last of the flood and start off the ebb to avoid the full force of the big tides at the moment. Once the anchor was down and the boat settled we were into fish straight away a nice smoothhound to start with then almost a fish a cast a mixture of spotties and whiting, Tim had a lovely 5.5lb Cod and as the tide eased the thornbacks started to show with Josh and Mark both landing one apiece thing went quiet over slack water which only lasted 30 mins as soon as the flood started to run the fish came back again. We ended the session with 1 cod 2 smoothounds 3 thornbacks 2 spurdogs lots of spotties and a few whiting -

Some of the fish this weekend on Lead Us Charters, Lowestoft fishing trips
A good mixture of fish this weekend smoothounds upto 8lb thornbacks to 6,5lb lots of spotties some good whiting and an eel.
I felt sorry for Bob who after a really hard fight with a fish we didnt see only to be lost when his line parted which i do think was a big Ray
And great on Sunday morning to see my grandson Oscar catch his first Ray on his first trip

A great day for Paul's stag day on Lead Us
After a last minute call the night before due to a cancellation we were heading out for Paul's stag day fishing trip. With big tides running I headed north to the shallower waters off Corton and the fish soon started coming in, lots of spotties some very nice sized whiting approx 50 and 5 nice smoothounds between 5.5lb and 8lb. Everyone caught plenty of fish making a memorable day for all -

Another record smashed and a PB for Paul on Lead Us 22-06-17
unable to proceed out to my chosen mark due to the forecast of increasing winds we headed up to the shelter of the cliffs of Corton. After a bit of searching round we dropped the anchor on the spot showing the most marks on the sounder just as the tide was starting to move. Roland was the first into what looked like a very good fish but unfortunately his line parted and we never saw it. following this the smoothounds started making a good show with everyone getting their share of fish and Bob getting the lions share and the biggest just under 8lbs. Then Paul had a cracking bite which almost dragged his rod over the stern after a very good fight the fish broke the surface to reveal a massive Bass once netted it wieghed in at 10lb 1oz a new record for the boat and a PB for Paul after some admiring looks and comments it was safely returned leaving Paul with a permanent grin for the rest of the day we ended the day with over a dozen hounds upto 8lb , Bass 10lb 1oz , and a few whiting hopefully this excellent run of fish will continue for some time

SOME BASS-TASTIC SPORT ON LEAD US
With the good weather over the last few days we've had a couple of good trips with some excellent fish plenty of Bass to 7lb all returned. Smoothounds to 8lb Thhornbacks to 6lb endless spotty dogs Whitng and Dabs thrown in for good measure and yesterday we had our first Mackeral only joeys at the moment but should be bigger ones arriving soon.

Three good days fishing over the weekend produced some great fish from various marks out of Lowestoft on Lead Us including two boat records a Bass @ 8.5lb and a lovely Blonde Ray @ 10lb. I had fun netting the blonde and bass pictured together as they boat hit the surface at the same time.All Bass pictured where returned. Make the most of the excellent fishing at the moment and give me a call

Out of Lowestoft on Lead Us 25/27/29-05-17
this report covers 3 days over the last week with strong tides lots of weed and often quite breezy conditions things haven't been easy but we still managed to find plenty of fish to keep us occupied. With plenty of spotties as usual a few whiting 2 very large pout whiting @ 1.25lb & 1.5lb an increasing number of smoothounds to 7lb some nice thornbacks to 13lb beating the boat record again this year and a surprise cod @ 6lb with the tides decreasing and the weather set fair the fishing should be good over the coming week
