Our Heaviest Fish of the Month Competition has ended today
and the Winner is...
Steve Binnington who caught a Ling Weighing 18lb 1oz
he caught the fish on a 5 hour wrecking trip a few weeks back.
Well done Steve and to all the customers who came very close, we have seen some fantastic fish this month with several fish around 15lb, and loads over 10lb.
Hopefully we will continue seeing these big fish next month too as the Angling Festival is only a few weeks away now. -

5 hour Wrecking trip.
A great selection of cod, pollock and ling aswell as pouting, whiting, and mackerel.

5 hour Wrecking trip this morning.
A fantastic stamp of fish showing with nearly all the anglers beating there personal bests.
Heaviest fish this trip was a 18lb 1oz ling caught by Steve Binnington.
2nd heaviest fish was a 15lb ling caught by Katie Harrison age 13.
3rd heaviest fish was a 13lb ling caught by Paul.
The anglers had several ling around 6 and 9lb and cod to 9lb as well as mackerel a few whiting and pouting.
Some fantastic inshore wreck fishing here at Scarborough. -

3 hour inshore trip this afternoon.
As the tides are now building we decided to try the inshore rough ground on the drift again. The fishing was steady all of the trip with all the anglers catching a good amount of fish. all the fish fell to feathers and hokkias some baited some un-baited with fresh mackerel.
Overall the angers managed to catch a good 40 codlings and plenty of mackerel, and a few Coalfish and Pollock.
Heaviest fish was a 9lb 4oz Cod, caught by Henry. (In Photo) -
