Great days uptide and downtide fishing today.

Only myself and Dave Tyson fishing. We had over 20 fish a piece putting many lip hooked fish back to fight another day. Most of the fish were around 2 to 3lb with a few around 5lb

Hopefully with the tides building over the next few days we get more fish of this quality and quantity.

We still have a few spaces on 6 hour trips this Thursday and Sunday to book please phone nick on 07939025881.

Conditions were alot better today with only a small amount of drizzle. Had a fantastic start to the trip catching fish and watching the all weather life boat and the inshore lifeboat training with the new helicopter.

Unfortunalty we were plagues by seals all day with them surfacing next to the boat and chasing fish.
The lads did manage to get a good 25 cod aboard with the heaviest been about 5lb and the rest been about 2lb we returned several size lip hooked fish to hopefully catch again when there bigger.

We had a good break in the weather again today here at Scarborough aboard the Skylarkand had a Cracking 6 Hour Uptiding trip today.

Over 30 fish kept today with several been over 5lb and many small lip hooked fish returned to fight another day. Dave and Steve managed to catch 7 cod a piece. With the heaviest fish been 8 lb. Steve even managed to get the first fish out in less than 5 minutes.

Again like Saturday a lot of resident fish caught today and plenty of bites.

Great weather and great company with plenty of banter as always.

With the tides building this weekend hopefully we might be able to seek out the bigger fish, and catch the smaller fish on light tackle.

We currently have 2 spaces available on Sunday if your interested give me a call on 07939 025881.

A very Pleasant and relaxing trip today up tiding and down tiding inshore today.

The lads had bites most of the day but baits were getting hammered in no time by smaller fish and lobsters.

The lads did manage to get a couple of lobster to the surface but unfortunately thy were not size, they did how ever get a good amount of cod today only showing half what was caught in the photo. As well as a good selection of Pollock wrasse and Coalie.

a great set of lads and i am lucking forward to your next trip.

Fishing the First match of the Scarborough Boat Angling Club today.
the The Monkman and Ridehalgh Memorial Match.

Only had the two lads fishing today, as the forecast wasn't brilliant and the other lads booked didn't want to risk driving through encase the trip had to be cancelled.

its was drisly and gray most of the day but all of us had a good days fishing with a good few Mops. Bernard managed to get a cracking conger weighing 13lb un-gutted which was great to see for the land rock.

Bernard manged to get 1st place in the match and the skipper manged to get 4th with a 5lb Cod. unfortunately Mike fillet all his fish on the journey back but if he waited until the weigh in he would of managed 5th place.

a great way to start the new season. and well done Bernard and all the other who fished the match.

Santa Arriving at Scarborough aboard the Skylark

    Saturday 15th November 2014

The Skylark has brought Santa claws to to the town for several years.
this year was again a fantastic turnout with thousands of people lined around Scarborough Harbour.

He then boarded his sleigh and joined a parade featuring staff from Boyes; making his way up Eastborough, St Thomas Street and along Queen Street.

Santa has now taken up residency in his grotto at Boyes.
