Fishing has really come alive inshore again with a good amount of really clean fish.

The lads this morning were out for 6 hours and had well over 60 fish between them all cod between 2 and 5 lb with a few Pollock around the 3 to 5 lb mark too.

All fish under 40 cm were returned to hopefully be caught when there bigger.

A great set of lads with a great sense of humor.

Best 6 hour fishing trip we have had all year so far, nothing huge caught but plenty of cod about still.
We only had 3 customers today so I managed to have a fish aswell today.

We decided to fish inshore again and we had fish on from the first drop with all four of us bringing fish after fish in every drop. After a few minutes we decided to return all lip hooked fish regardless of size or any other fish that would survive as the fishing was that frantic.

In total we lost count at about a hundred between the four of us with all of us catching 25+ each.

The fish seamed to be going for anything we dropped down including squid mackerel, shads. Feathers etc.we even managed to get plenty of codlings on the very light gear (5g to 35g rods with 8lb braid, great fun on light gear).

Great to see so many cod and Codlings about.

During the last two hours we started getting board of catching just cod so we ventured out to 6 mile and gave the wrecks a try, we had a few nibbles but unfortunately no fish out there as yet, hopefully in a few weeks this will change.

The photo of the fish on the engine box were all the fish which were deeply hooked which unfortunatly wouldn't have had much change of survival.

Great day out with great company with Dave, Steve and Mel.

Another great day out today fishing on a 6 hour trip inshore.

The angler had a good mix of fish today landing several ‪‎Pollock around 4 to 8lb and a good amount of ‪‎Cod around 2 to 4lb as well as a good size ‪dogfish and a few small ‪‎Coalfish‬.

It was great to see alot of good size fish been returned to fight another day.

Most of the fish fell for bait but we did manage to catch a few on jellys and shads, so hopefully the water becomes clearer inshore in the next few weeks and we could have some fantastic fishing this summer.

A good 8 hour Fishing Trip yesterday

we decided to start at the mark which worked well for us on Thursday and again it produced a good number of codlings for us.

We had a lot of first time anglers with us yesterday but they quickly picked it up and all seamed to have a good trip with the anglers managing to get a couple of fish each.

The conditions were not perfect with a slight swell to start with which increased in the last hour of the trip.
It was good to see many size fish returned as the anglers had caught enough for them selves.

Unfortunately we had to cancel the 3 hour trip we had planned as the sea conditions deteriorated and we couldn't seek any shelter.

hopefully the weather improves in the next few days as the fishing has been really good resonantly.

photos are from one of our customers dee (many thanks for the photo's and review)

Overall we had between 35 and 40 fish for the lads today with most been around 2 to 3 lb. Some of the lads managed to catch a few over 5lb with the heaviest fish been about 6lb

One lad was on form today and managed to catch over 10 good size ‪‎cod‬ to himself.

Only myself and Dave Tyson fishing. We had over 20 fish a piece putting many lip hooked fish back to fight another day. Most of the fish were around 2 to 3lb with a few around 5lb

Hopefully with the tides building over the next few days we get more fish of this quality and quantity.

We still have a few spaces on 6 hour trips this Thursday and Sunday to book please phone nick on 07939025881.

Conditions were alot better today with only a small amount of drizzle. Had a fantastic start to the trip catching fish and watching the all weather life boat and the inshore lifeboat training with the new helicopter.

Unfortunalty we were plagues by seals all day with them surfacing next to the boat and chasing fish.
The lads did manage to get a good 25 cod aboard with the heaviest been about 5lb and the rest been about 2lb we returned several size lip hooked fish to hopefully catch again when there bigger.

We had a good break in the weather again today here at Scarborough aboard the Skylarkand had a Cracking 6 Hour Uptiding trip today.

Over 30 fish kept today with several been over 5lb and many small lip hooked fish returned to fight another day. Dave and Steve managed to catch 7 cod a piece. With the heaviest fish been 8 lb. Steve even managed to get the first fish out in less than 5 minutes.

Again like Saturday a lot of resident fish caught today and plenty of bites.

Great weather and great company with plenty of banter as always.

With the tides building this weekend hopefully we might be able to seek out the bigger fish, and catch the smaller fish on light tackle.

We currently have 2 spaces available on Sunday if your interested give me a call on 07939 025881.
