A cracking stamp of fish caught on today trip with a good amount of Cod boarded.

Loads of mackerel now showing at long last. And plenty of sport on the shads and lures again.

We did get a few strappy ling on this trip aswel so it won't be long before we see the better ones.

Great set of lads with a few been complete novice anglers, after today's fishing I think we have got them all hooked now.

Not the best of conditions at all with a few suffering with the effects of sea sickness early on but the winds were due to die down and they did giving the anglers some really good fishing.

All of the anglers gave it a good go even those feeling unwell and recovered quickly when fish started coming aboard

Also great to see the kids enjoying it aswel

Catch report from today 6 hour trip

We started the trip running off to our inshore wrecks and the anglers manged to catch half a dozen codling around 3lb as well as a few pouting whiting and mackerel after a few hours the winds rapidly increased and the drift became really fast.

So we decided to run inshore and go back to basics with downtiding, fishing was steady with a good amount of codling been caught again around the 1lb to 3lb area and a few pollock aswel.

Best fish today was a 7lb cod closely followed by a 6lb pollock.

    Photos from today's 8hr trip

A complete difference to the fishing yesterday with the winds finally easing enough to run offside.

Today baited traces seamed to fish the best we did manage to get a few fish on lures and shads but baited seamed to be deadly for cod today.

We had a few ling, pollock and coalfish but the majority of today catch was cod and codling.

    Photo from today's 6hr trip

Fishing was steady away again today with anglers trying many different options, in areas we got away with shads and lures. The water was still quite coloured in areas so went back onto baited feathers and long flowing traces.

Best fish today was a 10lb 2oz cod caught on squid strips on mackerel feathers.

Some of the fish caught on today's trip

Fishing seamed steady away nearly all trip with each mark producing a good mix of fish.

The lads today managed to get a good mix of species, codling, pollock, coalfish, ballen wrasse, pouting, scorpion fish, and a lessor spotted dogfish.

Throughout the day we tried feathers, tubes hokkais, shads, slow jigs on the drift.

As the wind picked up and the drift became way to fast we went back to basics and anchored up for some uptide and downtide fishing. which today seamed to be alot more productive with squid and lugworm been the preferred bait.

We also tried crab cart, peelers, mackerel, sandeel but these didnt seam to be the prefered choice today even though all the cod caught were full of soft back crabs.

Nice to see a good amount of size fish returned to fight anouther day.

Some cracking fish on today trip
Only the four customers on today and they had a absolute treat of a day

Two of the customers have never sea fished before and we soon got them used to using shads and they had a belter of a day with young ben catching the best fish of the day a 10lb cod.

The stamp of fish today was far better than we have seen so far this year and the water clarity has vastly improved

4 inch Shads seamed to be the preference today in a multitude of colours.
