week ending Friday 3rd july
still thick with codling on the 60ft mark
200 mackerel in 1hr yesterday
gurnards and small haddock/codling continue in mass proportions -

period 24-30 june
many codling around averaging 20-30 fish per trip in the 2-3lb range
lots of mackerel along with dab,grey gurnard,haddock,coalies,pollack,doggies and huss
many small codling and haddock in 6-8" range with around 60-70 per trip which is a good sign!
caught a solo thornback ray
biggest fish was 18.5lb huss
some mackerel pushing 2lb -

6hr trip today with 1 huss (4lb) codling to 3lb a solo mackerel lots of doggies but around 50 large launce!!

full boat and full day....
huss to 6.5lb Pollack to 5.5lb codling to 3.5lb haddock to 2.5lb and whiting gurnard doggies sandeel coalfish to 2lb and a 2lb ballan wrasse ...plenty of fish showing and in good numbers
water clarity remains good and frozen sandeel and ragworm taking the best Pollack
evening trip....
loads of mackerel codling to 3lb some nice haddock and lots of doggies -

short 5 hour trip today....huss to 6.5lb 12 mackerel 1 herring doggies whiting codling (3.5lb) and small haddock

water clarity continues to be good and mackerel are around in good numbers averaging about 1lb but some are over the 2lb mark....last nights 2hr trip produced about 60 mackerel in 30mins and then the tide changed and they disappeared!!
signs are looking good on all fronts -

had the sunderland boys out and we were drfting off the harbour in the clear water and it produced mackerel and herring along with codling and haddock of size to keep and we managed to get some Pollack from the weeds but they were only small

the mackerel continue to push north and on a little 1hr trip drifting just off the harbour entrance we managed 40 in the space of 30 mins...water clarity is excellent and the seas remain calm....prospects look good!
some of the mackerel went 2.5lb -

full day out but struggled to catch....lots of doggies and other small stuff with the largest codling going 3.5lb.
there must be a northerly push of codling as we are getting them on every trip....
again we found Pollack in the harbour entrance...biggest was 7lb with another going 5lb

a short trip out and we caught cod(3.5lb) huss, doggies, small ling, gurnard and Pollack out of the weeds...biggest was 5lb (photo to follow)
we have noticed that the Pollack are taking frozen sandeel and mackerel strip with confidence but only "pulling the tails" of jelly worms with few hookups
