    Whitbyseaanglers.co.uk/forum - Forum Competition

Luckily there was a break in the weather to get the long awaited and anticipated trip in, conditions started fine, and deteriorated through the day, conditions were perfect for teasing a big fish out with very little drift all day.
All the lads fished hard and caught plenty, and Im sure they enjoyed their day.

On Mistress we saw plenty of fish which were of good stamp, and a wolf fish which was a bit of a rarity, but good to see all the same. I didnt picture all the good fish we had onboard, as there would have been loads of photos!. A massive well done to all who fished, and also a big thank you to all involved for your continued support.

Pictured Andy Peat with his two best fish of the day.

    Report on-board Skerry Belle

At last the water temperature has hit the magical 13degs! and boy has this bought the bass on the feed! Alan and Gary took advantage of our June special (see top of page) and booked the whole boat for a days bassing and boy they wasnt disappointed. Some good bass landed and some even better ones lost. (unlucky Alan, that was a good fish.) Still some good hounds, skate, showing on crab and squid baits. Don't forget all my trips inc. rods, reels, tackle and some baits. 4hr bass and mackeral trips now in full swing (phone for times and details.) Still have some dates available for all day trips in July and August. Very Tight Lines, Roger.

    Report on-board Shy-Torque III

Craig Welford and a few of his mates from Gala Casinos in Teeside joined us on the Shy Torque today.

Sadly the weather wasn't too good this morning, the wind blowing from the North yet again!! The fishing was a little slow to start but as the breeze slowly eased the fishing quickly increased!! The lads only turned up as a 6 team and unfortunately 3 of these fell victims to the old "mal de mer" !! After a couple of hours steady cod fishing the other 3 decided it only fair to return to port. What gentlemen !!!!!!!!

Pictured is Craig Welford with his best cod of 10lbs.
