Another cracking day with brilliant company and banter aboard Lady Ann of Ramsgate, plenty of skate which we moved away from to try for some hounds. Very hard to get through the dogs and whiting but found a few.

The weather didn't disappoint today they said easterly strong and they were not wrong but we did have an ace up our sleeve an x trawler legend Kevin Abott most of you at Ramsgate would know him, just kept laughing at the swell. Had a few skate and hounds but had to admit defeat and head inshore but no joy just whiting and dogs and one skate but what a day I've lost my voice with laughter thank you David Warman for taking boat home while I skinned a few skate and Colin Wimbush for just being himself and Andrew for keeping going in hard conditions the whopper hot dogs did the trick though. Taking bookings inbox me on Facebook or message Dawn on 07854772314. Tight Lines.

After a great summer season, with many good bass landed, we will now pay our attention to the Autumn and Winter fishing onboard Skerry Belle. We will be targeting the rough grounds off the North Foreland where hopefully we should see a good run of codling inbetween 4-8lb. Large Autumn bass migrating south where 15lb fish are not uncommon and are regularly caught by the commercial netters. The large channel whiting will also be in numbers where fish up to 3lb are not uncommon. Also anchoring the wrecks around the Goodwins will attract an array of winter fish including thornback rays, which will start to show in numbers anytime soon.
Remember all our trips are inclusive of rod hire, quality baits, tuition and run 7 days a week. We also do gift vouchers for Christmas which can be sent out to your home address. Look forward to seeing you all onboard soon, and tight lines!

Tricky conditions today lack of tide boat swinging on anchor still managed 20 Skate and few hounds plus a Bass and the dreaded whiting. Excellent day with amazing group even with me trying to retrieve tackle around anchor rope. The skate were flying up today these 2 came up together nice to see, both returned to fight another day. Good sign of Smoothounds as well around the 6 to 8 lb mark, some good fishing this week.
Stiil spaces available and plenty of varied fishing now ring Jason on 07966273650 or Dawn on 07854772314 or find us on Facebook.

We were asked to be the host boat for an awareness swim to Save the Goodwin Sands. The day started off very early and dark at 5am. The weather picked up and we started to have nice bit of sun. While there was one swimmer in the water, the rest of the party onboard was inquiry on fishing and how good the fishing was in the bay of Sandwich. During a well deserved break for lunch, we decided to let the swimmers have a go at fishing. After a few mackerel caught, they were surprised how easy it was. After the event had finished, we gave the Mackerel to the party organiser to have for his supper, he so proud he got to fish as it was a first time experience.
