The fishing off Ramsgate just keeps getting better. The Smoothound fishing is superb with many into double figures. Bass numbers are also increasing with worm taking the most. Skate are still around although the numbers are decreasing. Always the chance of good Mackerel fishing on feathers or hokkies. Plenty of weekdays available for individuals or groups. Give me a call and come along and enjoy the fishing.

The Smoothound fishing is really picking up with plenty of Hounds to our live prawns. Also coming aboard are Mackerel and Skate the later coming to herring. More Bass are showing with plenty of small fish bait. More large Bass showing lately with shore anglers doing well on the lures. Good prospects around so come along with Mackerel numbers increasing. Some excellent bass fishing onboard the Skerry Belle at the moment. With Dave booking a trip with us catching a fish of 11lb 6oz, and then directly after catching another of just over 12lb. Many other good fish coming up between the 6 and 8lb bracket with the occasional double thrown in. Still plenty of big hounds on crab baits. Thornback Rays and mackerel on feathers. The Belgian fishing club had a great week aboard Duke lV with Skate, Smoothound, Mackerel and Bass. We fished North and South catching plenty of fish for them. The cooler box had some weight to it when they left. We are now getting live shrimp, top bait for the Hounds. Still plenty of weekdays and some weekends available. Call me on 07715050851 to book.

Another good day for Skipper Dick certainly put the boys on the fish. And winning fish of the month so far is Les with a 17lb hound which was released as full of pups found a few more better skate today.

Great fishing off Ramsgate now with good size Smoothounds, Thornback Ray, Bass and the first Mackerel showing up. The Hounds are a good average size with plenty of double figure fish amongst them. Squid is taking most of them while peeler crab works well. The Skate are still around with many of them into double figures. Jigging feathers is accounting for a few Mackerel although the water needs to be clear and they are a bit patchy. Plenty of dates available for individuals or groups so come along and enjoy the best in fishing. Pic shows Stuart with one of the better Hounds.

Another good day with good company, Paul 'Beaver' Beavis taking the pot as usual. Stef was using 2 rods and he picked the wrong rod but still had a smoothound of 12. 2 lb and a skate of 6 lb in all a very good day and a couple of firsts for Ricky Moon and Lee Moon on the Smoothound. What a brilliant bunch of lads I had on today and the fish showed up to play. Lee started the proceedings with his first Smoothound of 12.4 lb and followed it up with a 8 lb fish then we had a flurry of hounds for the next 3 hrs boating over 20 hounds in there 3 doubles. Then the tide blew us out and a quick move out of tide produced another 3 smaller hounds and 2 skate biggest going 9.5 lb another fish that Dave hadn't caught before all in all such a good day and banter can't wait to see you all again but the star of the show was young George who caught his first Smoothound and what a credit to his Mum and Dad he was a legend picking crabs for his Grandad and brothers then skippering the boat all way back to harbour and berth thank you George. A day of 2 halves skate,skate and more skate to begin with then we moved to the chalk ledges and saw some amazing hounds onboard. Its not very often the punters tell you they have caught to much can we go home and have a pint please. Plenty of May weed about to alarm non seaside people !! Lady Ann of Ramsgate found the hounds and it looks like they have turned up in numbers now. Some good fishing to be had, Skipper Dick had a hectic day on deck with over 20 Smoothounds coming on board.
