The boys were bored of the normal so took a gamble for some mixed fish .Good day even better company now 2hrs steam to get home happy days today with the Wetherspoons trouble makers.
Vernon had a nice 2lbd Lobster caught on Herring that went straight back as she was full of eggs.

After a very busy summer catching some specimen fish including bass upwards of 10lb+, hounds to 20lb, rays to 25lb and some very surprising faces like the sunfish we landed, we are now getting into our September/October fishing season. These next 2 months will possibly produce some large bass and early codling, like we have already been catching recently, along with late season hounds,rays, large whiting, Pouting and flat fish. The birds are working and the Bass are feeding. 3 good Bass today along with some Schoolies and a few Mackerel showing again with the water clearing.
The Smoothound fishing is still wide open with around a dozen today to 11.5 lb.
Skate numbers are increasing with many fish on the banks, we were due to go there but the Bass and Hounds kept us busy in the deeper water.
As usual Ramsgate is the place to be for top fishing opportunities with Duke IV to keep you amongst the fish.

The fishing just gets better with plenty of Smoothounds with some into double figures. More Mackerel and scad as the water clears. Bass numbers are increasing with some schooling up on the banks. The fishing is good, we have the best bait and tackle so come along and join in the fish fest. Pic shows Harry aged 13 with an 11lb 8oz Hound, his best yet.

Long day today, weather was fine so we went on a sail about, three different marks and it really paid off. Day started well with Lydia and Dad Val double hook up with in 10 mins of fishing and the day just got better and better, See photo. Later Lydia boated a 12lbder a PB for her.

Good fishing off Ramsgate with plenty of Smoothound, from small whipper snappers to double figure bruisers. Good numbers of Bass and Skate to go with them. Some great fishing onboard Skerry Belle Charterboat. The bass fishing is superb as it always is onboard (remember you can take 2 home per angler for the table.) We have seen thornbacks on the Goodwin's nudging 16lb. The hound fishing has also been excellent with over 20 a trip not uncommon and the offshore wrecks should now start producing many other varieties including gurnards, my favourite table fish. All our trips will be fishing offshore when weather allows as this will be where the better fishing is during the summer months. What a day started off on the skate managed over 20 then decided to go and have a look for some silver bars, first drop on feathers a 6lb and a 7 lb bass so job done move to the hound spot Wayne Leadbetter wanted to try and beat his pb so we fished hard through the flood. I told him not to panic yet tide eased and a numerous doubles came out but then BANG a massive run and a 15 .5 lb female heavily pupped so quick weigh and photo and straight back in and 2 min later the special rod with special bait went off we knew this was the one after a long fight on light tackle we landed her 19 5 lb. Job done pb smashed for life methinks.
