    Report on-board Amino

The slight break in the persistent heavy winds this week has given us opportunity to get out.....and the fishing has been pretty good!!. Monday's trip with Graham and Derek produced them 14 Codling to 4lb and more than a dozen Whiting up to 1lb+ some of which they are pictured with here.

Yesterday's venture produced 24 Codling to 5lb along with a few Whiting although these seem to be thinning out now. The Cod still appear to be feeding hard with Squid still undoubtedly the top bait...double Squid taking most of the fish.

There have also been a few 20lb+fish caught locally in the last few weeks so there is always the chance of a lump inbetween the smaller stamp of fish.

If you are a small group of up to 5 anglers or just two anglers struggling to find room on a larger charter, give me a call.

  • 01/2012 Fishing Report by Lyle Stantiford on Supanova II (Weymouth, Dorset)

    Jan 2012 by Lyle Stantiford

    Report on-board Supanova II

The first trip of 2012 on board Supanova took place this weekend (08/01/12) with a light Westerly breeze it was decided to venture to the Mid Channel wrecks to have a look for the early season Pollack.

We were into fish from the off, not fast and furious but with a couple of fish coming to the net each drift all on board managed to catch a few for their tea.

Best fish of the day fell to Tim Suttle from Trowbridge with this cracker of 17lb 8oz. Tim tamed the beast with and orange Storm Shad on an 8' trace and 20lb class tackle.

With a showing like this in January the fishing should continue to go from strength to strength from here on in!

I would like to take this opportunity to say Happy New Year to all Supanova customers old and new and all those anglers that make Weymouth the port it is.

Tight lines for 2012 one and all!

    Report on-board High Flyer 2

Very windy trip today, killed our plans totally even though offshore ,big thanks to the lads for sticking with it .
Delighted to have young angler Luke with us and dad Andy, always a pleasure to educate youngsters ,think he enjoyed himself looking at the photos!. Big thanks to Paul for organizing the trip, along with Harry,Ian, barry, and John. Loads of fish on the finder especially midwater more than likely sprats and herring, lots of bait about, still believe we need a cold spell for a good run of cod. Fish on the day was codling to about 3lb and those pesky whitting ,not in abundance like they have been, very surprised no flatties though. Thanks again lads much appreciated hope the weathers kind to us next time.

  • 08/01/2012 Fishing Report by Tony Harrison on Optimist (Portishead, Somerset)

8 Jan 2012 by Tony Harrison

    Report on-board Optimist

The first trip out of 2012 went pretty well, with five anglers on board and eighteen cod in the fish box at the end of our trip. Everyone caught, which is always good news.

Fished about 1.5 miles from Clevedon on pretty calms seas. The amount of weed, and the number of tree-trunks and branches flowing down on the tide was amazing!

A couple more months of cod; still hoping for the really BIG day....!
