What a brilliant day the 10th of November was. Massive thank-you to Dave Pitman (Atlanta) for putting on a great trip and sorting out the Wrassing we have been nagging you for!
We had some nice Ballans, then Cod to 17lbs, spotted Ray, Smoothound and more Bream than you can shake a stick at - sport from first drop to the last.
Best of all was the weather which made it difficult to put the camera away.

cod season is well under way seeing around 20 cod a trip avarage about 6 - 7 lb last trip we had 17 cod kept the best of the bunch biggest 8 lb lads went home with 10 cod skate are fishing well on some marks very good fishing to be had on the new Dawn Tide II catamaran

The first day on uptiding festival here at whitby and sea-otter 2 has set the pace with a fine cod going over 11lb plenty of cod today for the lads plus the lovelly weather makes a very enjoyable day.

Well, as was predicted at the start of the week no one has moved here at Whitby much at all with the foul weather. The forecast for today is, at last, looking a lot better so fingers crossed for some more good fish.
If we get chance today we will be steaming to the offshore wrecks again. They seem to be the place to be at the moment.
We will report tonight if there is anything of any interest.

It is with great pleasure I would like to announce that, this morning, I have finally received word that Daiwa have agreed to sponsor my boat Mistress. They are kindly giving us 12 rods and reels for our anglers to use. The sponsorship will start in January 2013. Id like to thank everybody involved who helped make this happen.

Girl power has been the norm on sea-otter 2 this young lady got right amoung the cod first time boat fishing and what a day cod to near on double figures what more could you ask.

We had a ride out today out side the holm sands very slow with a few whiting and spottys decided to go down the n/roads after tide started to make on the flood it was a good move first chuck i had a 3lb spragg, plenty of whiting as well to keep us busy with some nice pound fish coming in to the boat we had 1 more cod about the same size and a dab for good measure on a 6/0 pennel with whole squid not a bad days fishing,PS if you reed this Paul get well soon mate,Brian/Paul

This was a great day out on Sea Leopard, great advise and support from the skipper Stuart, plenty of fish all day and as much tea and coffee as we could drink!

Well, the weather looks like it's going to have a continued impact on this weeks bookings with fresh off land winds predicted until at least Thursday. Lets hope it can get sorted before the end of the week so we can get back offshore to those big cod we left last weekend.
If the weather turns for the better for us we will undoubtedly be returning to the offshore wrecks where we can hope to get a top result like last weekend.
No severe weather to discolour the water in the last few days, so my predictions are pretty high for the next trips out to the wrecks on the 20 mile and beyond.
Just had another feast on Derek Wiggins "Thai" fish cakes tonight. Get cracking with them lads they will not dissapoint !!!! (See my last report for the recipe)
