Went out on the iona from Hartlepool last Friday myself twin brother Kev and son Matthew on board was Paddy and Geordie we vhad very limited experience between us but we were shown what to do by a very knowledgeable skipper and his fellow ship mate
Paddy even took the time to ask and show an interest in each of us
We first caught some mackerel then moved over some wrecks hoping to land some cod
Needless to say some people even if there led to water you cannot make them drink (My brother Kev all the gear .. no idea) thankfully Geordie was there to baby sit him lol
Paddy even skinned and filleted the pollack i caught plus gutted some mackerel for my wife
If Carlsberg did charter boats then they’d definitely do this one Dave. -

Went out on Friday me my twin and son on board paddy’s Iona assisted by my brother’s bestie Geordie who spent all day helping him coz he’s fishing dyslexic (all the gear = no idea)
Paddy made everyone feel confident even though there’s not much experience amongst us very knowledgeable as was Geordie gave us novices easy to follow instructions…well me and my son anyway he also takes a genuine interest in each of us
I told him about my wife who loves eating fish and he made fillets out of the pollack for us which we’ve just had for our dinner and tomorrow it’s mackerel on the menu
Needless to say if Carlsberg did charter boat skipper’s they’d definitely choose this one and for that reason Will I Dave! -

Been out today with paddy, geordie, my dad and uncle. Caught plenty mackerel a pollack and some decent ling. Paddy was very knowledgeable and didn’t make us mainly first timers feel like idiots. Some great advice given and a great time had by all.

What a cracking fishing day out with Paddy again, two of my friends came all the way from London for fishing and one of them managed to catch two lings and some mackerels. I've managed to catch two codlings as well. Keep it Paddy.

We had a great day with Paddy yesterday!! First time with Paddy but not a last for sure!! Amazing and so proffesional, lovely boat with everything needed! From 7am-5pm unforgettable experience! Only with IONA ! Highly recommended to anyone who wants a great day !
