Another amazing trip with kestrel warrior 6! Had a cheeky last minute mackerel trip with my two young sons and what a trip it was. The kids had an amazing time and added to their skills from the last trip. Once again the skipper was patient and kept the boys entertained with his knowledge of the area and all the types of fish they can catch. We caught lots of different weird and wonderful fish and the boys where astonished when we caught a squid. Will definitely be booking again
Skippers Reponse: Thank you it was a pleasure

Just back from a Brilliant days fishing on the Kestrel Warrior VI with Captain Anthony. He really knew is stuff and used his vast fishing experience to take us to some great marks where we as a family got firsts in several species including Place, Black bream, conger and dab. My youngest even managed to land a spider crab! As inexperienced anglers Anthony was always at hand to provide guidance and advice. We will be coming back and I would have no hesitation in recommending a trip with Anthony and Kestrel Warrior VI to any family for an excellent day out, even those who haven been sea angling before.

As a complete novice at fishing I wasnt convinced I was going to catch any fish. Thanks to all the advice and help from the skipper I was catching fish in no time and had a fantastic day! I also bought along my 6 year old Autistic son who wasnt sure at first but after the gentle guidence of the skipper, soon got stuck in catching fish. My son can't stop talking about his fishing trip. we Will definitely be booking again -

Outstanding days fishing the skipper promised fish and delivered. We started looking for bait but landed a beautiful cod. The second cod appeared but it was too small. We shot off to the next target and the action continued with 4 rods baited the fishing continued in a relaxed mode. The first Thornback was hooked and it was not long before the second and third ray appeared. We had to go back in because of the weather but more action outside the harbour. Great day on the water.
Skippers Reponse: Thank you it was a pleasure see you soon

Sunday morning was abit warmer than Saturday
The wether overcast and damp. Wasn't looking nice for the day. So meeting up with Octavian and his crew we decided to head to sea. First starting a drift for some plaice heading west we see some signs of bait fish so we stopped and all went down having 3 novice's onboard I knew it wasn't going to be easy.
So after the first couple of hours we ended up with I think 2 dabs 1 plaice and a handful of wighting so we decided to head out ABIT further this didn't work out as we stopped catching the flaties moving back closer to the shore we picked up a flounder a plaice and a few more dabs making it abit more worth while at this point the sea had decided to pick up to 0.7 MTRS so we headed east to seaford bay . Fishing quite close to shore for this effort we ended up with 1more dab
All in all not brilliant but it was a day at sea

When it comes to fishing in the winter knowledge is key
I learnt that from fishy rob out of Brighton.
With the tides being so big and the fishing being hard I knew I had to think out of the box. With that I put a crew together to go plaice fishing.
Not knowing what the outcome was going to be. In the morning I got the lads to meet up at #fortroadcafe for breakfast. Being that it was flat we was quite chilled on the time to set sail so we left at 9am quite a sivolised time. Heading out to sea I decided to tern left and headed out for an hour once we got to the mark what seemed like forever. We decided to anchor up fishing a standerd flatti rig with worm . As soon as we got there within seconds the first rod had gone with a double shot of plaice shortly followed with a few more. As the day went on the fishing started to drop off .
So with that I decided to move eaven closer to the beach .mind you we wasn't fish that far out to start with
After resetting the boat the fishing continued with some flounder's dabs and more plaice being caught
Total tally for the boat 23 plaice 17 keepers 2 Flounder and 15 dabs returned bringing us to over 40 flat fish for the day
On the way back out new team member James gutted all the fish with everyone tired and cold I knew my job was complete till the next time

So today's weather was abit of a rough start. After hearing the forecast was ment to be flat. It definitely wasn't. Leaving the harbour for a 9.30am start we decided to head west down to the tin can as I call it.
Starting a drift from south to north it was ideal for our drift along the pipeline. Catching a few wighting and mackerel for the first 2 hours. After 2 drifts I decided to head Futher west to a different pipeline. This didn't go my way being devoid of any life.
We then set off east to a wreck once there we had 3 drifts over the wreck trying Muppets a drift shad on the second rod and worm ripped with squid on the 3rd rod. This also was devoid of any life .
We then headed to seaford bay to try for some plaice this also ended bad. So going back to our original mark we ended up with more dog fish mackrel a pout and wighting. So not a brilliant day today but there are fish still milling around.
