If you are thinking of a fishing trip out of Liverpool, you have to go with skipper Kev on the Brigand. Kev is very knowledgable and is only too pleased to pass on his skills, he never stops and is always there if you need him. He makes sure that any novices are ok and does his best to ensure everyone catches.....you are sure to have a great day with Kev. We did. we caught cod...pollack....smoothound....small tope....gurnard ...and mackerel

BRIGAND DEBUT: Myself and a mate joined skipper Kev McKie aboard "Brigand" for a day out on the Mersey for my first trip aboard this charter. Reports were of plenty of Codling and Thornback Rays in the River ... and they weren't wrong! There was a total of nine anglers aboard and by the end of the trip (at the last count) approx 26 Cod were landed upto just under 3lb (most of them around the 2.5lb mark) with 23 Keepers amongst them.... I myself managed 9 with 7 going home. Besides the Codling, there was also a fair amount of good sized Whiting, a few Dabs and the ever present Dogfish. As if that wasnt enough to keep us busy, we moved to another mark for the flood and bagged up on the Rays, taking 14 of them between us and of a good stamp, all being around 7-8lb.... with the best of the day being a 9lb fish to yours truly :) An absolutely cracking day ... I must add a big thanks here to Kev who worked tirelessly helping out people who needed it and keeping a never-ending kettle filled... apart from putting us right on the money every move he's a top bloke with extensive knowledge..... I'm very much looking forward to the other trips I have arranged with him... nice one Kev! ROLL ON THE NEXT TRIP!

fantastic days fishing for the lads of southport sea angling club aboard the brigand once again kevs experience put us on the fish and saw 12 species caught including some cracking bull huss great boat, great skipper, our advice to other anglers book him!!!

Great day with Kev on Brighand. Defo knows his onions and doesn't stop working to get you on the fish. Really patient Skipper with the less experienced boys. A.N.other skippers around Liverpool should take a leaf out of this lads book ! Not the usual trip to one mark and frightened to burn fuel. Top Class Skipper, good with the kettle and frying pan ! great days fishing, will be definitely coming back, Kev was a great skipper & had plenty of patience with a novice fisherman like myself, i caught the biggest cod of the day & learned loads. Would come back just for the curry, cheers Kev.

We had a blinder of a day my best days sea fishing ever wreck fishing several different wrecks cannot fault kev's patience with those people who had limited or no experience in sea fishing looking forward to my next trip

Brilliant day out wreck fishing. Kev was really accommodating tying rigs, removing fish from hooks, and even filleting the fish. Good size cod and polack. Highly recommend fishing with Kev. We will be back. And thanks for the chicken curry, great finish to a great out.

We went out with Kev on the Brigand last sunday and had a fantastic time. Not all of us were fishermen but everyone caught, due no doubt to Kevs expertise as a skipper. A great day was had by all and Mrs Mkie's chicken curry was excelent. We will be booking agian.five star rating.

great days fishing out in the bay another boat load ov cod to 7lb awesome,, mind you we were on the no1 boat with the best skipper
