About the Skipper:

Bruce is a RYA Offshore Yacht Master Commercial Skipper, who loves Fishing and Boating. He grew up in Cork Ireland fishing with his brothers and father, off the Old Head Of Kinsale where the Lusitania sank. He moved to Poole in Dorset when he was 20 and is married with 2 children. He worked in Telecommunication for 25 years as a software engineer and re-trained as a Commercial skipper so that he can take people out to sea on a range of trips. One of his favourite fishing trips is targeting Turbot and Brill on the famous Shambles Bank, and if the tides are right there is also a chance for Plaice, Bream or Bass on the same trip.

Booked Bruce and his beautiful luxury boat to charter me and my family for a days sea fishing. Bruce went all out to make our experience one we won’t forget. He is very knowledgable and great fun. We all had a great laugh and caught some great fish. Thank you so much Bruce. We can’t wait to get on board the silver gannet again soon

Skippers Reponse: Thanks Kevin - it was such a pity that we could not also go out yesterday but the weather was truly awful. Next time you come down we will try some Bass or Turbot fishing. Take Care Bruce

Day trip to the Shambles on the Silver Gannet
Skipper — Bruce is a superb and considerate skipper. My husband and I felt in safe, experienced and knowledgable hands.
Boat — Clean and comfortable vessel (cruised at 24 knots). Ideal for sea fishing in the choppy conditions of the Shambles. The fly bridge gives great views of the coast on the way there and back (wrap up warm) and if you need protection the cabin is spacious.
    Overall Experience
Booking was simple . Bruce was open to discussing what we wanted out of the trip and very accommodating. We would definitely charter with him again as he met our high expectations.
Thank you Bruce for a great day.

I took my grandson out with Bruce on silver gannet last year.
We had a great time on our inshore trip caught loads of species.
My grandson is hooked we have booked more trips later in the year.
Bruce was a great host with plenty of good tips and good quality hire tackle.
