Charter Boat: Dointhedo
Boat and Skipper Details
Dointhedo is the latest boat from Swiftcat. It is a bespoke 11.4 metre Catamaran which runs 2 x 300hp engines and also has Hydro Foils. this provides a cruise speed of 28 - 32 knots and a top speed of greater than 42 knots. The hydro foils mean it provides an unparalleled level of comfort with no slamming even in heavy seas. Combined this means we can get to the fishing grounds in super fast time. "More time fishing, with less time travelling"
Whilst we are based and berthed in Gosport, we will pick up crews from numerous Marinas along the South Coast, from Lymington , Southampton, Portsmouth, Southsea etc. We are family friendly and our high gunnels make it super safe for children. Call for details.
Dave has been around fishing most of his life. Being the joint owner of a Tackle shop in the 90's and a Sea Angler Magazine registered casting instructor.
As years have passed by Dave turned his focus to Boat angling where he then embarked on intensive courses culminating in him obtaining his commercially endorsed license, with a view to one day chartering his own boat. The next couple of years were spent researching local grounds, looking for those as yet untapped oasis's.
Allen has fished most of his life starting as young child fishing in the ponds and land drains of Lincolnshire and then the Humber and south York’s from beach and boat. Having fished all around the coast of the UK and several trips to Norway he decided to run his own charter boat and was successful operating Sea Fox Charters out of Gosport. He has worked as skipper and crew on commercial safety boats from many ports around England

David Liddiard (04/08/2018)
Dointhedo is a very fast modern Swiftcat which got us to our fishing mark in no time at all the speed that this boat cruises at is incredible, Dave the skipper and his deckhands (Caroline and Dan) worked hard all day long to make sure that we were catching fish having a good time and keeping us topped up with hot and cold drinks, I have fished on a number of charter boats in the past and this was nothing like I have been on before, the boat is super clean nothing seems to be to much trouble for the crew there main concern is that those who have booked are having a good day. I would hand on heart recommend this boat and skipper for general inshore wreck reef or shark fishing trips and will defo be fishing on this boat again

Fishing Report by Dave Stenson

With a perfect weather day we pushed off to a deep water Reef mark 34 miles offshore. Anchored in 230 ft water the lads arms were always going to get a workout, but with a small tide it had to be done.
A fantastic crew who kept at it all day. It did not produce the variety of fish we would normally hope for, but rod action was ensured as Bullhuss after Bullhuss came to the boat. Mixed with a few Eels and the obligatory dogs. Over slack tide we took the opportunity to have a move in search of Rays, and on the way to our next mark stopped off over a wreck to have a bounce of some feathers and small baits to add to the species list.
Dan Dan the rod breaking crewman, scored a Pollock on feathers which would have looked more suited if they had been adorned with Mackerel. :-)
Next spot was to look for the Rays, small undulate, and blonde were boated along with a constant stream of dogs which proved difficult to get through.
A thoroughly enjoyable day and a fantastic crew.
