Boat and Skipper Details
Dotty is luxury sport fishing boat specialising in lure fishing for bass at the offshore banks east and south of the island, and the Solent.
She is marina berthed and with free parking.
You can bring your own gear or we provide free light lure tackle and lures. We can even feed you if required with our spectacular seafood or cheese platters direct from our shop.

Pete is a certified bass fishing nut!
Always been involved in fishing from being a fishery manager in his early days, running a successful fishmongers and smokehouse to skippering his own boat for the last 10 years.
Took part in the CHART programme so will offer the opportunity to switch to blue fin tuna fishing if they show on the day, subject to licence renewal soon.

Another brilliant day out last Saturday with a great bunch of local guys.
First time for them on Dotty so we went for it off to the banks with perfect conditions to fish the ebb tide for the day.
Distinct lack of birds feeding this time so had to work a bit to find the bass, but we did.
Great sport all day with around 30 good sized fish to the boat with everyone taking their permitted 2 fish the rest safely returned including the best fish of the day and our first double at 10.5 lbs caught by Evan Evans.
He struggled all day using his own gear so switched to our really light gear and using the HTO Sad Shads he certainly caught up!
We'll be out again soon on the big tides as long as these winds go away. -

Our bass fishing season got off to a cracking start last Saturday!
Returning anglers Nick, Ant, Matt and Greg coming down from Oxford for a lure fishing trip on Dotty. Bit lumpy in the morning with wind over tide to get to the marks but worth it, finding the birds 12 miles out produced plenty of bass straight away.
Perfect conditions in the afternoon meant great sport all day with many fish returned.
Well done guys you were awesome!! Here's a picture of Greg with one of the best despite being pretty ill most of the time!
Some great tides this week with a perfect forecast might do an individuals day if there's enough interest. -

Epic day out on Dotty yesterday fishing the offshore banks around 50 or so well conditioned bass to the boat most 2kg plus, all on Illex lures fished by a lovely bunch of guys from the company, guided by legend Glen Milligan. We fished multiple locations from deep to top water, all producing great sport.

It's great when you take a family with young children out fishing for the first time and they experience their first fish. Annabelle 10, Ben 8 and Phoebe 5, around 40 small bass between them most returned but a few keepers for the barbecue and some chunky mackerel all from the Eastern Solent.
The next generation is what it's all about .
Some great tides on the way plenty of good fish showing up now.
