  Report on-board Galloper

  This time of year is great for beginners as there are stacks of fish inshore to keep us busy. Stanley might not be a beginner but he had great fun in the rain the other day showing us how it's done. There were loads of whiting and dogfish around with lots of double shots of fish for him. he did manage a few dabs which is what he told me he tied the trace for. It was also lovely to see dad on board spending some time with him too. Although for some reason dad spent most of the day hiding from the rain in the wheelhouse. It certainly didn't put Stanley off and the rest of lads did very well too. There will be lots of fish like this inshore for the next few months. The dads have really increased in numbers as we would expect and on the right tides there are a lot to be caught. At some point in the new year I fancy having a play for flounders too.
