The fishing has picked up since my last report, We are getting some good double figure COD and THORNBACKS, The WHITING are still around in good numbers but there are still some days when you just can't find COD ????? We are starting to get some good numbers of CODLING and this means that they will stay around after Christmas and by then should put on some extra weight.

Fishing over the weekend was slow with WHITING and DOGFISH the main catch but there are reports of some boats landing COD up to 8lb offshore and numbers of CODLING inshore, The small tides made fishing for THORNBACKS slow , If you anchored on a patch with some on you would get them. With bigger tides this week i think we will see some more THOPRNBACKS caught, These tides should help with the COD fishing as they will move up on to there winter feeding grounds,

The weather was against us again last week, with only one trip out it's hard to say how the fishing is, We are starting to get some good numbers of larg WHITING, DOGFISH, DAB'S and i am glad to say most boats are starting to see one or two CODLING, As the tides drop away i think we will see more (if the weather let's us get out) over the next few weeks,
