After a very hectic summer season with some great fishing onboard we now turn our attention to the autumn and winter season. Cod have already turned up,(see photo) the autumn bass will start migrating south and this is where they feed big for there journey to warmer waters. Fish can easily exceed double figures so now is your chance for that new pb. Thornbacks will start feeding heavily along with channel whiting, dabs and spurdogs, all turning up around the Goodwins. I think autumn is my best fishing season with the crisp mornings, nice cuppa and bacon sarnie whilst heading to the fishing grounds.

Some great fishing onboard Skerry Belle Charterboat. The bass fishing is superb as it always is onboard (remember you can take 2 home per angler for the table.) We have seen thornbacks on the Goodwin's nudging 16lb. The hound fishing has also been excellent with over 20 a trip not uncommon and the offshore wrecks should now start producing many other varieties including gurnards, my favourite table fish. All our trips will be fishing offshore when weather allows as this will be where the better fishing is during the summer months. Morning All!
Hope all my fishing folk are safe and keeping well! Just a quick update to say that I've updated the calendar as no fishing up to Friday 8th May as per government guidelines. We are still taking bookings for after this date, so if anyone does fancy getting in touch to book any trips with best tides I will still put you in the diary so your trip is secured for when the lock down is finished and the sudden rush to get out fishing begins lol I will not be asking for deposits for obvious reasons, but when we do get back the boat is ready, the freezers are full of crab baits and the bass and hound fishing should be spot on.
