    Hi Anglers out over weekend masses of Tope about especially on Sunday. Not the monsters as before but plenty of them. A lot of bite throws and smash ups loosing good fish. Mackerel now showing on smaller neap tides with water clearing especially 2 miles out . Small tides in next few days should give us more good sport. AQUA STAR AMLWCH PORT.     hi anglers first commercial trip out yesterday due to travel restrictions to Wales which we followed to protect local community. went Tope fishing 4 out of water largest 40lbs rest 30lbs mark only one small one. Some monsters about lost lot more biting through 200lbs nylon traces. mackerel still poor the water is very coloured but plenty of whiting which tope took.     Hi Anglers Looks like you will be able to come to Wales Anglesey From 6 July 2020. Looking forward to Getting you out. Some safety precautions have to be adhered to on the boat and it deep cleaned after every trip.Out with my son earlier in week if you look on Facebook (Roy Smith)you can see amount caught Cod Pollock Coalfish and Tope all on lures. ( 60 cod keepers between 2 of us between 3 and7 lbs loads up to pound and half returned) Good part and Best part of season left.     Still under lockdown at moment. But gave the boat a run Tuesday with my son which I,m allowed to do.Between 2 of us caught about 60 cod between 3 and 7 lbs . Loads of pollack and coalfish all returned except two because of very good cod fishing. Matthew caught a large tope on a lure very good fight thought we had broken pollack or cod record when it took. Once you allowed back into Wales get in touch to secure a good tide at very reasonable rates to get catching

    2019 was a very good year on the wrecks off Amlwch with loads of Pollack and Coalfish and Cod caught when weather allows us to get to the right wrecks. many into double figures. The inshore fishing just off Amlwch for Tope and Spurdogs has been very good with very large Tope over 60lbs caught (see 2019 catch photos). Check with me for future dates and extremely competitive prices .Coronavirus still stopping trips will advise you when things change.KEEP an eye on lockdown as soon as lifted so we can go back out to wrecks should be full of fish but travelling to Wales still Restricted at present time cheers Roy

    Hi weather still not very good for offshore fishing inshore plenty of good whiting and loads of reasonable coalfish on reefs good eating fish. Huss and spurdog s in deeper water at slack tides. Let’s hope for calmer weather to get to the better fishcheers Roy

    Hi out over weekend fishing still very good with a good number of species caught including spurdogs tope Huss pollack coalfish and wrasse. The mackerel are still with us as are Hugh shoals of whiting some very good ones amongst them.. Looks promising for good winter fishing cheers ROY
