Boat and Skipper Details
I am in the unique position of being located on the Menai Strait, which gives me the option of fishing both sides of Anglesey which is very useful when faced with different wind directions. It can mean the difference of getting out when others would have to cancel. The Strait itself is a fantastic fishery with many species able to be targeted. It is renowned for its Bass in particular and is very sheltered.
In 2025 I will be doing specialised trips targeting Porbeagle and Thresher shark, these will be whole boat charters or individuals trips with a maximum of six persons. Specialist tackle will be provided if required.
My general trips can cover a wide range of fishing seeing over 40 different species being caught in this area.
Specialist Bass and Tope trips are available for those who love to target these hard fighting sport fish; I for one; encourage to use of light tackle for maximum enjoyment.
I love wrecking and if the weather allows, will be pushing out to sample the many wrecks around this coastline.
Prices
8 hr general..£600 full charter…£60 individual
10hr general.£700 full charter…£70 individual
10hr Wrecking £750 full charter.£75 individual
8 hr Bass fishing £540 full charter £90 individual max 6 anglers all tackle provided.
12 hour Tripods Bass trip £150 per person max 6 anglers £900 full charter
12-14hr Shark trip £900 full charter. Max 6 anglers all tackle included. £150 individual.
I’ve been fishing for as long as I can care to remember and have owned and operated boats for over 30 years.
The pinnacle of my fishing career was to represent Wales at national level and I like to think that I have some knowledge to pass on to anglers that wish to accompany me on my trips.
I’ve previously operated fishing charter boats based out of Conwy and also Beaumaris snd some may have joined me on both Conway Star and Maverick.
I like to look after my anglers and make every effort to put you in the fish. Kettle is always on.

Had an amazing day with Skipper Dave & John! Exciting fishing, dogfish, mackerel, dab, whiting and ended with bass. My 7 year grandson Leo had his first bass just under 3lbs, a fantastic experience! We were looked after and will be back. Highly recommended and worth a trip from the Isle of Wight!
