Another great day on the High Flyer Jon was at the helm today and took us to the known producing marks small tides and weed at the first mark but a small move and the weed was minimal had 6 very good keeper codling 3 - 4lb for the table which will make good eating, wind picked up after lunch and tide went slack so time to head in which was a wise move.

Skippers Reponse: bit windy paul 35mph plus! least we got a few and home early! thanks mate. jon.

Another great day on the High Flyer. Paul at the helm today as Jon skiving. Huge tide and tons of weed made holding bottom a challange at times, but still had 5 very good keeper codling for the table, a few whiting taking up hook space reserved for cod one of which was a good size. lots of cod on board so all happy. wind picked up and sea got really lumpy after lunch but a seasoned group so for once no one groundbaiting! Thanks to Paul for his 'top secret' spot that avoided the pesky weed and brought me my last 2 cod. Cant wait for the next trip.

Skippers Reponse: Thanks paul glad day was successful in the end despite weed and wind! have to find this top secret spot!!

Another excellent day out with Jon on the High Flyer. As usual Jon was spot on with his prediction of the weather and sea conditions and got us out on a day it seems all other skippers gave up on,We began going out ftve miles and caught a cod soon after arriving but then went slow and with 2 or3 recycling breakfast best to come in and catch last of ebb in thamps Alley.Caught straight away again so stayed until tide went slack and we moved again too the mud off Hopton. After what seemed forever the boat turned into the tide and again caught cod,By now wind was veering south east and the sea was roughing up so Jon thought best to get back into harbour before it got too rough 'by now we had over 20 between us so were happy too call it a day.WE will back before too long.

Skippers Reponse: Thought everyone done well Bill easterly wind as well ended up not a bad day fish wise too. good to see you guys again. Many thanks.jon

Not the best of days fishing wise but we were n't expecting great things with the wind and the sprats but Jon tried his best and took us to the most likely spots but unfortunately one of those days We did manage a few pin whiting and the odd Flatty but no keepersI I think we also adopted a seal pup that i reckon must have been a lost family pet as it seemed to be trying to get on the boat.so all in all a poor day fish wish but Jon did find the kettle very regular and ensured we had an enjoyable day out,I am sure next time will be better see you soon Jon..

Skippers Reponse: Hardest day I had for long time bill should have got the sprat nets out instead!enjoyed the day good banter .cheers,jon.

Another brilliant days fishing on the High Flyer. Despite tons of weed I still managed 19 keeper codling, took a while to fillet but all the family are happy with fresh cod for tea. Great day, plenty of tea and banter. Yet again Jon put us on the fish even in difficult conditions. Going to have to buy the met folk new anemometers, theirs seem to be reading really low!!

Skippers Reponse: Dont mention the MET Office Paul, given up on them. Least we survived the wind that wasnt forcast not sure about all that weed! Great day, cheers Paul.

What a great way to bring the new year in, Had a great trip out with Jon on the High Flyer, on 31st Dec, Jon is a first class skipper at offering help and tips to us who us who are not so expert, and certainly the reason i book on the high flyer, most skippers may stick to the warmth of the cabin, not Jon, he was out giving me some up tide tips which soon put me onto a few codling, thanks Jon,also thanks to Dave for your help, great set of lads plenty of banter on board, lovely hot soup from Jon, even a free firework display thrown in, and the codling tasted superb wrapped in my special beer batter. Cheers Jon, look forward to another trip in 2015. A great day, Stu

Skippers Reponse: Thanks for that Stuart was good to catch up. I bet there was more beer about as well as in the batter! See you soon . Cheers. Jon.
