A very warm day. Water was clear so went to get some mackerel. We had a lot of activity from Topeka after the mackerel on our feathers so the tope gear came out. We had six takes anPaul landed a nice 40 lb + tope after a long struggle . The fish was quickly returned to fight another day. A few drifts over wrecks produced a few small cod and Pout. Plenty to keep us busy. Watch out for the weavers..
Skippers Reponse: Good day john with the tope smashing us up great to see. And the weather played ball. Much appreciated . Jon (high flyer 2)

Great days fishing. Went to the bass banks and all on board had fish. As the tide slackened the bass went off the feed and the smoothies started biting. As the sea picked up we headed inshore more more smoothies, doggies and just when I thought I’d gotten away with it I caught my only whiting of the day.
Felt vert safe on the boat, all COVID measures in place and reduced POB to ensure social distancing.Skippers Reponse: I didnt think you recognized me in my mask! Good day Paul i thought for the tides strength everyone done well. Nice to see you out after this lock down. Cheers Paul

2nd trip since lock down. Limited number on boat due to social distancing so even more space than usual. Started on bass bank in a bit of sea mist but only one bass and one Joey mackerel landed.. When tide turned we moved to another spot and almost immediately we were into smooth hounds, starry smooth hounds , doggies and one dab and only one whiting. One very decent bass was lost on the surface next to the boat. Bad luck Martin! The mist cleared and the sun shone. It was much warmer than last Sunday. All in all a very good day.
Skippers Reponse: Thanks for review John, be glad to get back to normal times! Fog a pain always hope Martin didnt swear losing decent fish!!! Cheers mate

Lovely weather flat calm sea. Best day of the week. Fishing a little bit slow but three thornbacks to 7lbs landed and returned. Two decent bass to 5.5lbs roll on 1st March and one cod . Whiting and dab made up the day. As usual plentiful tea and biscuits .
Skippers Reponse: Nice to see the bass this early John hoping the roker stay be a good season this year. Thanks for coming out mate. Cheers Jon (High Flyer 2)
