Great 3hr fishing trip today aboard Lady Grace, a total of 9 codling and a few whiting. Jess caught the most with 3 codling showing Alex and Joe how it was done. They both had one each too and mum and dad's caught the rest. Lucky one of the dad's is a chef so guess what they are all having for tea tonight! After having to cancel this trip twice since Christmas due to the awful wind, today we finally got out. David started us off with a codling, followed by Will catching a nice whiting and Chris bagging his first whiting too. Only Matt left to catch and the pressure was on. All went quiet apart from the seal popping his head up round us. One the last cast David and Chris bagged another whiting each and Matt blanked.

After a very fruitful birdwatching trip this morning we headed out in the afternoon to try our luck at the fishing. As we headed out to our mark we saw 2 porpoises surface. I had been warned by the couple out on the boat that they had eaten dodgy oysters the day before so were still recovering and after anchoring up unfortunately the took it in turns being sick. Needless to say they didnt get much of a chance to fish in the 3 hour trip and unfortunately we came home empty handed. But we did spot a guillimot on the way in and the sun had shone on us all day.

Today's 4 hour fishing trip started off with a few whiting then all went quiet for a while before Stuart caught a cod. As we were on a 4 hour trip but had to travel a fair distance due to being a neap low water it meant we only got 2 hours fishing time so had to go in shortly after Stuart caught his cod. We ended with 1 cod and 8 whiting

Today I had 2 people on a 4 hour trip. It was a little slow to start with just a few whiting caught by Nina and John unfortunately wasn't catching much. As we got to.the to of the tide Nina was in with a cod whivh put up a lovely fight and shortly after on the first of the ebb I caught a cod too. John caught a few whiting and then caught a little dab. 2 cod, 1 dab and 9 whiting today in total, not quite as good as the last few trips but better luck next time.
