    Hi
We've finished for the season now and I'd like to thank everyone who supported us this year.
It wasn't a bad year although the weather was challenging a lot of the time and the Mackerel were not as good as I would have hoped. We had a lot excellent fish and some excitement with a shark. We also had a lot of good sausage and bacon butties!
We are now taking bookings for next year.
    Kindest Regards
    Pat

    Hi
Out with a party Wednesday, a bit breezy so we stayed inshore.
Plenty of Pollock around the 4lb mark on the reefs with lots of Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse and also some Corkwing Wrasse. Plenty of Mackerel still about and we had Huss to 14lb plus good sized Whiting, Dabs and Dogs. We had a couple of Tope runs but didn't land one.
    Still fishing well.

    Hi
We got out this last weekend with two days of wreck and general fishing.
The weather wasn't too bad and we got pollock to 12lb, coalies to 4lb and tope to between 30lb and 35lb. We also had some codling, gurnard, and some good size wrasse plus mackerel. There were the usual dogs and whiting to keep us busy too.
If you fancy a trip before we finish for the season, please give me a ring.

    Hi
A cracking two days on the tope. I had Wyn Thomas, Chris Hamblyn and Gary Hobbs on yesterday ( plus some other good lads) and we had around 27 nice tope. A really good day with a good banter going all day.
Out again today with Carl "Lord Warburton" and the gang. Had a really enjoyable day with tope to 50lb, a good banter and lots of sausage butties. Heaven.

Hi, It's been a windy couple of weeks and we've struggled to get out sometimes. Luckily the fishing inshore has been good and we've had plenty of Tope and Huss, plus other species like Wrasse, pollock, coley, mackerel plus codling, whiting and dabs. I'm now hoping for a decent settled spell but I'll take what comes!

Out fishing today although the weather wasn't brilliant. Tope to 25lb, huss to 14.5lb, loads of whiting and a few pollack. Not bad for an inshore trip but will be better if the weather settles down. Good tides coming up so should be able to get to the big pollock on the wrecks if the weather settles.

    NEW PHOTO UPLOADED!
Had a good day on the tope with numbers well into double figures. The biggest was 45lb and it gave a big surprise. Halfway to the surface the fish got a new lease of life and darted off at a rate of knots. It took quite a while to get it back under control and when it surfaced after a mighty tussle we saw the teeth marks on its flanks. It had been taken by a shark on it's way up! I've put a photo up on the site and am waiting for a better one from one of the anglers present. The teeth marks are about 9 or 10 inches across and seem to be only the front of the jaws. I am assuming it was a porbeagle but I couldn't swear to it. In nearly 40 years as a charter skipper I've never seen anything like that. I've seen pollock bitten up but not a 45lb tope. What an amazing day.
I should like to reassure any people who may be disturbed by this picture, that sharks only ever attack you when you are wet.
    Regards
    Pat

A nice day out weatherwise today for a change. The wrecks had a lot of medium fish and a few bigger ones. A good bunch of lads made for a very pleasant day out.
Please feel free to enquire about our trips.

Another breezy day on the briny. We had the cosmopolitan club out today. They are the remnants of lots of clubs that whittled down to one man and we got them all together and they fish once a fortnight. Great crack and lots of banter, it's as much a social occasion as a fishing trip. Plenty of fish inshore again, twenty plus bullhuss to 14lb, a couple of tope runs, pollock to 4lb and loads of whiting and barkers plus codling, gurnard, wrasse, dabs and plenty of mackerel at last. Lots of sausage butties and cakes.
We've got midweek dates available on some good tides for wrecking trips if you fancy it. 10 hrs offshore for £320.
Aquastar 33 with plenty of deck space.
I've fished from Amlwch for almost 40 years (39 to be exact) and have plenty of experience on the wrecks and also tope and general fishing.
    Very competitive prices.
    Regards
    Pat
