A great run of Big Tope inshore at kentcharterfishing Ramsgate at the moment and they`ll hang around for a while.
Big Mike and the South London boys had a great day on them on wednesday. In 2 hours of fishing they had 6 runs and 4 fish bought to the boat, spectacular for inshore fishing, even better as it was one of our weekday individuals days so the 3 of them got to experience a fab days fishing from Excel angling for £40 a head.
Awesome fun, fishing Ramsgate with light tackle and getting 40lb+ beasties !
For the afternoon we went to anchor to get a few Skate so the boys also had some fish to take home as well as a great day sportfishing.

Bass, smoothounds and skate showing in good numbers , remember 3 or more on a weekday and i`ll go !

    Keep it tight,
    Dave.

The main Glut of the crab moult has passed now and the smoothhounds have slowed down a bit. Within a week or so they'll be back taking the squid baits. Lots of Bass showing and some cracking skate inshore. All in all it's Happy Days when you're fishing Ramsgate !
Come on down, 3 or more on any weekday and we go!

    Keep it tight,
    Dave.

The Hounds are here Big Time !
Peeler crab will sort out the big mummas, with squid a close second.
The fishing has been great yet again from Ramsgate with lots of good hounds showing along with superb skate and brilliant Bass.
Although the northerly winds have slowed down the crab peel its still the number one bait atm.

    Keep it Tight,
    Dave.

Despite the settled weather we`ve only done a few forays offshore to the wrecks. When we have the fishing has been great, lots of prime cods. It may be hard work but the rewards are worthwhile.
The majority of our trips have been inshore to the Famous Goodwin Sands where the Skate/Thornback Ray fishing has been outstanding as it is most springtimes. Nice relaxing easy fishing, just nail a chunk of Herring hard to the seabed and wait, usually not for long !

    Keep it Tight,

    Dave.

The wrecks are still fishing well for Quality Cod and some cracking Pollock but we are travelling a fair way offshore.
Luckilly the Skate fishing inshore is electric at the moment, perfect if you prefer to fish rather than travel. Expect 10 or so on an average day and 25 plus is easilly possible. One of the local boats had 36 on Sunday. Frozen Herring as bait is the key.

    Keep it tight,
    Dave.

A few Lunker cod reported inshore over the weekend and a few skate.
Noteable catches were a cracker of 23.5 lb on Pace Arrow and a 15lb`er on Duke IV.
    Ramsgate is Rockin !

We went offshore and continued the run of outstanding catches of cod and pollock.
It may be hard graft but the results are worthwhile, over 100 quality eating fish on Saturday and an exhausted crew !
