    Well Folks,
we have officially had the coldest December since records began and today it's mid- January and Thirtteen degrees , Bizzarre !
Hopefully normal service will resume shortly.
The huge Cods that we were getting have slowed down and now it's mainly the mighty Dabs and whiting that are keeping us occupied.
Hopefully over the next couple of weeks we'll get the weather to be able to gett well offshore for some lunker Pollock, who knows, I'm not gonna try guessing the weather !

    Keep at 'em ,
    Dave.

The cod are elusive at the moment but although the numbers are down the quality is up on most years. At the weekend most boats caught very little but cod to over 20 lb were landed.
The annual spratfest certainly makes things difficult but the lunkers are out there gorging on them. A thinkIng skipper will still find the fish. . .

If the waiting game for a lunker cod doesn't appeal then there's a fair bit of action close inshore for possibly one of our most under rated eating fish, the humble Dab.
They may not strip line off your reel at a rate of knots but they certainly make for a super supper !

Happy New Year to all our customers, old and new.
    Thank you,
    Dave.

Harder fishing this week but we still found a few Lunkers amongst the Whiting and codling. Best fish this week was a cod of 16 lb 8 oz to Marc Coombes. Best bait by far was cuttle fish with good old trusty lug and squid combos second.

Well done all for fishing hard in extreme conditions yesterday !
26 to 28 Knts of South Westerly kept us from getting offshore but it really wasn`t a problem as loads of fish showed close inshore.
Just a short steam from Ramsgate Harbour and we found lots of Doggies, lots of whiting and a few codling.
Great to see the return of some big whiting, probably better eating than the cod !

Tides building nicely this week but we are beset by wind .
Luckily the cod and whiting are close inshore so we can get out to them in sheltered waters.
Squid, cuttlefish and lugworm proving to be the most effective baits, in that order.

    Happy Hookin,

Small tides and a bit of wind this week has meant the catches have been disappointing as we`ve not been able to get to where we`d like to go. Never mind the option of going shopping was worse ! Thankfully there`s been plenty of doggies and whiting pulling the strings at Kent charter fishing.
This week should see normal service resume as the tides are building and the wind going westerly, all in our favour for Kent charter fishing from Ramsgate.

    Autumn Treats,
Big bass showing in amongst a few early codling and the usual doggies, whiting and pouting.
2 nice ones so far today for Brian No2 from Bexleyheath. Both to lug baits meant for codling.
