Sept/Oct can also be great months for evening Sole fishing. Short midweek trips to take advantage of settled conditions are always a pleasure with quality Sole too! Here's Ady with his first and best Sole at 1lb 12oz!!!

Report on-board Wight Huntress III
October brings with it the arrival of BIG COD. With dreams of the rare but quite possible 30lb fish we really start to target these lunkers. Yesterday Sunday 11th Oct was my first proper Cod trip, in a difficult force 5 Westerly the guys still managed 3 fish with the biggest at 19lb!!! Well done to angler Raul Tanasan form London. We use Big Baits and Big Hooks so come prepared!!

Recent trips are showing lots of good sized hard fighting tope on grounds south of the nab, best catch so far is a pair of fish totalling 95lbs!!! On several trips anglers have simply been too-toped and we have moved away for a break!!

Report on-board Wight Huntress III
Hi all
View Boats Page
For a long time I have been waiting for early June to arrive as I love BIG Tope and thats what this time of year is all about. A recent trip around the Isle of Wight produced a bumper session with BIG tope attacking all of the rods at the same time! Here's a pic of the first two fish of the session weighing 50lb and 45lb. Great fishing, it must be as close to big game fishing as we come as these fish take their searing runs tearing line from the reel! Great Stuff! If you fancy some of this action then look for a smallish tide and ring me for details.
On these trips we can also go for Pollack, Conger and Bass, does it get any better???? -

Aswell as Bream we have plenty of Smoothounds moving inshore every day, fish to 15lbs with the large females arriving very soon, together with the Tope! This is a great time of year around here!
As a new boat I do have several really good tides free and available for booking. -

Report on-board Wight Huntress III
Hi All, as a new skipper I am just coming to terms with the various websites available for anglers and skippers use. So here's my first report on the cbuk.
View Boats Page
Thank Goodness for April arriving with some good trips so far and the arrival of Smoothounds in numbers and the first Bream just showing now.
Over the school holidays I had a few trips with special prices for youngsters, as normal the girls caught the most!
Last week most trips were about introducing new anglers to the delights of the hard fighting smoothounds, these early fish are averaging 6lbs and they really do go! BUT the bigger females will be in soon too, with fish up to 30lb it is superb sport, OFTEN on FREE BAIT!
The BIG BREAM are here now too so all we need is for the weather to hold.
As a new skipper I still have many days available and have updated my schedule, so please ring for info or just a chat.
I can also pick anglers up in Portsmouth camber.
