    Report on-board Mistress

    What a belting day we had today.

    I had two lads taking the boat from Bradford and boy were they rewarded, its the 1st day back to sea following the last Northerly, plenty of colour in the water I noticed on the way out.

    The day got away quite slowly until the tide turned then it just went bananas all afternoon.

    I fished too seeing as we had a good bit of space available, between the 3 of us we took between 40 and 50 Cod.

    The Best angler took 22 cod, taking home over 22lb of prime fillet.
    The most surprising thing was the stamp of the fish coming aboard we saw many fish today between 6lb and 10lb, The best cod took the boat scales round to 10lb 4oz

    The best bait by far was half a black lug tipped off with a strip of squid.
