    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

Well,.. we were out yesterday, it was not the easiest day we ever had, with the wind once again blowing at 24 mph SW, so wind against a small flood tide. so I opted to go very shallow so we would lay more to wind than tide and drop in 10 feet, really looking for early Bass, as we had 10 packs of Rag worm and Lug worm that a friend of mine left on my boat, (thanks Barry) and no I didn't charge the boys for them, I didn't pay for them, so I was not going to charge my lads, .... so they loaded up with worm baits, and a few small Whiting were biting, but for myself, I was interested to see if there was any Skate up in the shallows, so I baited up with whole Squid, and boy oh boy..!!! I had 4 good size Skate, in 20 minutes so the guys changed their baits and we enjoyed some good shallow water Skate action in comfort.

Once the tide turned, (around 10.30 am), I went about 4 miles east into deeper water, but we only got one or two, small Skate, so we upped anchor, and moved close in and bang there they were, and now with tide and wind together, we enjoyed a lovely settled afternoons fishing, and the lucky boys had the whole of this massive 51 foot Catamaran (Vanishing Point-2) all to them self's, just three of them plus me and Nicola, what a lovely day we all had.

Not out today, so tomorrow, we will do much of the same I think, and see how the day pans out.

Well I hope you all have a great weekend, whatever professional charter boat you are out on, it is nice to see so many boats busy, it means our sea fishing is in safe hand with all you anglers keeping us all busy.... I am sure I talk for all of us charter Skipper's when I say ...Thank you for supporting our local charter fleet........ Tight Lines..!!!!
