    Had our first strings of mackerel today, should of been getting them like this months ago up to now we have only been getting them one or two a day now where near enough for bait yet alone for the table, fingers crossed the bait situation will get easier now. Off for tope turbot and rays tomorrow so will be handy to get a few strings.

    Some quality cod starting to show on the banks and rough ground , all less than an hour steaming from the harbour

    The reefs and rough ground are fishing well now for pollock and bass

    The pollock are showing on the reefs and rough ground now which is good news because it’s easier on the angler than wreck fishing (less tackle loss lol) and only short distance from the harbour. The bass are here as well . Plenty of individual spaces and whole availability

    Plenty of pollock turning up on the reefs now mainly 7-9lb range with some good quality fillets on them, all with in 8 miles of the harbour

    Another good day on the bream unlike yesterday though it did slow up in the afternoon . If this fine weather continues the bream fishing should go well into November

    Bream galore today and good ones at that. Total species bream bass rays conger gurnards whiting mackerel and dogs

    Few of these beauties showing now.
    Channel warrior will be staying in the water this coming winter but will be coming out halfway through December until halfway through January for maintenance and clean up and being the shortest days thought that would be the best time to do it. So we will be there for the start of 2019 pollock season

    Undulate rays seem to be on all the marks this year. Only seen the odd few over recent years yet this year they are in abundance.
    Channel warrior will be staying in the water this winter 2018/2019. So I will be doing fishing trips through out the winter months with the exception of a few weeks for maintenance. Let’s just hope the weather will kind so we can get a few trips in

    There is some none stop tope fishing happening on the neap tides . The last few days I can’t even guess how many we have had, three on at a time for most of the day along with rays and conger. I will be putting the dates up on my calendar for text tope ray turbot and brill trips
