The first shark trip of the year on Obsession out of Brixham yesterday Sunday 15 th July went really well rubby dubby over the side and we did not have to waight long the blue sharks soon came calling ,a total of 7 blue sharks were landed ranging from 60 lb to 120 lb all returned unharmed.We had a big blue attack the chum net hanging over the side what a whopper estimated at around 200 lb bigest blue i have ever seen in the English channel.All aboard enjoyed the day and we are looking forward to the next shark trip this Thursday. We have a few dates available weekdays and weekends for wrecking,plaice fishing on the Skerries bank out of Dartmouth and shark fishing, if you want to join in the fun give the obsession team a ring you wont be dissapointed Brixham the home of Biguns and Whoppers we look forward to seeing you soon.Tight lines from the Obsession team.

Well what can i say Friday 13 th was a lucky day for all on board Obsession out of Brixham 2 chaps chartered the whole boat for themselves and boy did they bag up with over 100 pollack upto 18 lb a few cod and gurnard and a Sun fish caught by two anglers and Kevin the boat owner and Lee the skipper on the inshore wrecks what a fantastic days sport. We have spaces available if you want a day on the summer pollack give us a ring .

After some routine maintenance and a bit of TLC OBSESSION BRIXHAM is now back in the water. The first trip back to Sea produced some fabulous Rod Bending action when we got in amongst the Bass, we boated 96 fish in total with a good average size . We were not very far out and the sea was absolutely bubbling with the Bass chasing their prey right up on the surface, fantastic to see. Every fish went immediately back into the briny as per the current legislation to fight another day.
We have various dates still available and can provide all types of angling including Wrecking for Pollock and Cod, Plaice, Turbot, Ray and Bream on some great inshore marks such as the Famous Skerries Bank, we also specialise in anchor fishing for Conger and Ling and of course Shark fishing for Blues, Porgies, Tope if you are lucky the odd Thresher.

Well May has started off very nicely, the weather has been on our side for most of the month so far and the fishing is improving all the time. The Mid channel wrecks have been producing some superb quality Pollock and Ling and now the Cod are starting to arrive. We have had 2 Anglers recently, John Nicholls and Jamie Lee Whitehouse achieving personal bests with a couple of fantastic Pollock well over the 20lb mark so well done guys.
The Skerries have also been very fruitful and although the Plaice are not monsters we are averaging 50-60 per trip with most of them going back to fight another day, hopefully we will see them later in the year once they have managed to fatten themselves up.
The fishing is getting very exciting as the year goes on, so why not give us a call to book yourself on Obsession and perhaps you too could catch a personal best fish !!!

We at Obsession Brixham would like to welcome Lee Williams to the team. Lee brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his vast experience in the commercial fishing industry which includes all aspects from Rod and line to crab fishing.
I'm sure Lee is going to enjoy his venture with Obsession and help get some of they Biguns and Whoppers over the rails for all our valued customers both old and new

We managed to get a small window of better weather on Sunday. Although the forecast didn’t do what it said the guys from Shropshire percivered with it and manage to bring some nice Pollock over the rails on some inshore marks. Let’s hope that the weather Gods look favourably over the coming weeks so we can do some catch up. All the best from the Obsession Brixham Team “ Biguns and whoppers “
